The human senses are our contact to the environment. But the most important organs of sense are our eyes. Sight is fundamental to living a full life. We perceive up to 80 per cent of all impressions by means of our sight. Vision allows people to capture life’s beauty firsthand, survive in a dangerous world, and compensate for the loss of any other sense. These are the reasons that make a person’s sense of sight so important. This essay will discuss about possibility of the vision correction without glasses or contact lenses. According to the World Health Organization, 826 million of the 1,3billion people who are visually impaired in the World could correct their vision with glasses or contact lenses. I am the one of them and I have been wearing glasses for five years. After a couple of months, it becomes a part of me. Glasses were totally normal for me. But I always want to see everything by myself. I heard about the Lasik surgery, which is the operation for the vision correction. My interest for Lasik surgery make me do some research about it. Getting Lasik surgery is a life-changing choice, and most people debate about whether it’s worth the cost and pain. Cost of the Lasik Surgery vary from hospitals to countries. People generally step back when it comes to cost because in most countries Lasik surgery cost is very high. But in a Country like India Lasik surgery cost is much lower than other countries. But the average Lasik surgery cost in India is $ 550 or 40,000 INR. In countries like US and Europe it goes up to $6000. Procedure of the Lasik Surgery is so easy and not terrible. There are 4 steps of the procedure. 1st step: Medications can be given to make you relax. Some equipments are used to keep your eyes open. 2nd step: Now, a flap will be created. After that a suction ring is used to protect the cornea flap and movement of the eye. 3rd step: After all this, Laser will do its magic and track your eye. Laser will be directed to your eye to reshape the cornea. The last step: After 10–15 minutes it’s done and the corneal flap will be kept back. And about the pain…. The most hospitals and related websites have told that the Lasik is a painless, fast, and often risk-free procedure. But I read a lot of personal experience about Lasik surgery and they said “That was absolutely lie’. After the surgery they were feeling pain and barely opened their eyes. But it didn’t last long. There is no doubt that a Lasik Surgery has numerous advantages. But the American Academy of Opthalmology reports that the patient's vision may be over- or under- corrected, which may require the patient to still wear glasses or contact lenses. And these possible risks may have occurred: visual disturbances, such as glare, halos and/or double vision; poor nighttime vision, and the development of severe dry eye syndrome. All things considered, we are lucky to live in a world during the science and innovation era. Vision problem is not a huge issue anymore. We can get back our 20/20 vision assisted by Lasik surgery. It is important possibility for vision impaired persons like me.

Should people be judged by their social media post? Social media is defined as any internet platform that allows online social interaction. Lauren Davidson (2015) reported that an average person has five social media accounts each and spends 100 minutes surfing such networks daily. The growing millions of active users on social networks like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and others supports the notion that social media is becoming increasingly popular. Its influence and its effects on individuals are of uprising concerns. People post millions of posts images and other stuff on different social media platforms daily or weekly or monthly on average. But this essay will discuss about the people judge the people by their postings on social media. Most of the time people just judge someone by their looks that he or she is tall or short black or white, but that was way too far behind in our age people use social media to judge each other and that is through social media profiles which people make some people make their social image way better than real one. In my point of view, judging people by their social media posting is not a right way to know them you don’t see what they post and what they are in real life some are just an opposite reflection of their social media. Once I considered someone's social media behavior no different than their "real life" behavior. But it was a completely wrong thought. People can change and grow. People’s stupid comments/mistakes of the past can also be tools for personal growth. Continuing on the topic of judging others, We keep comparing ourselves to others in every possible way; looks, lifestyle, work, friends, followers or whatever, everything can be put under scrutiny and comparison. According to Wood, people who tend to judge in a positive manner tend to have a better self-image. They are stable, courteous, happy, kind-hearted, and capable. Their positive feelings reflect on the other people and thus tend to judge them in a better light. In fact, everyone has done it at one point in their life. As Theodore Roosevelt said, “Comparison is the thief of joy.” Thus, we stop to compare ourselves to others. We must do it for ourselves and others who we always judge by their looks or post of social media. Social media can be fun and important to socializing. But if you find yourself feeling jealous or negative when you are on social media, then you may want to take a break from it until you figure out it. How you treat others is how they will treat you. We should not judge people we do not know by their social media posts. Let me conclude this essay with a nice quote for everyone who try to judge someone. Shannon L. Alder said, “When you judge other people without wanting to know the true story behind their actions, is usually when there is something inside of you that is so broken that if you found out what you believed about them was a lie, you wouldn’t want to accept it or make amends.”.
