I. LEARNING COMPETENCY:

II.LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

a. define Indefinite pronoun,


b. identify Indefinite pronoun and its role in sentences and
c. create sentences using Indefinite pronoun and identify the form that use in each
sentence.

III.SUBJECT MATTER:

Topic: Indefinite pronoun

Instructional materials: laptop, speaker, box, pictures, chalk and flashcards.

IV.LEARNING TASK

Preliminary task:
a.Prayer
b. Greetings
c.classroom management
d.Checking of attendance
e.Free speech
f. Review the previous lesson

Motivation:

 The teacher will tell the class that they need to arrange their chairs closely to each
other.
 The teacher will show a box with papers inside.
 Some papers have quotations, and some doesn’t have.
 The teacher will give the box to the first student and tell the class that when the
music play they need to pass the box to their classmate that next to them.
 When the music stops, the last person who hold the box will pick a piece of paper
inside the box.
 If the student picked paper with quotation she/he will read the quotation aloud and
give his/her own idea to the quotation.
 If the paper doesn’t have quotation the music will continue.
Activity:
Picture and Tell
 The teacher will group the class into seven and give each group different pictures
with words at the back.
 The words are someone, somebody, something, everyone, everybody, few, most,
both, all, several.
 Each group need to choose at least 3 words and use it to describe the picture.
 The students need to show and describe to the class what’s on the pictures all
about.
Analysis:
1. What have you noticed in our activity?
2. Do you find it difficult to describe what’s on the pictures?
3. Do you think the words at the back of the picture are important in describing?
4. What do you think will happen if the pictures that I gave to you doesn’t have words at
the back to describe what’s on the pictures?

Abstraction:

Indefinite Pronoun- Indefinite pronouns refer to people, places, objects, or things


without pointing to a specific one.

I want to go somewhere. (+) I don’t want to go anywhere. (-)

Indefinite pronouns can be divided into three categories based on whether they
take a singular or plural verb:

Always singular anyone, everyone, someone, someone,


anybody, somebody, nobody, each, one,
either and neither, another, much, one
other, little, something, anything, nothing,
everything

Always plural both, few, many, others, several.

Singular/plural more all, most, any, some.


(depending upon usage)

Examples:

There’s someone at the door (singular)

Several letters arrived this morning (plural)

Most have refuse my proposal.

Note: Indefinite pronouns, like collective nouns, can be singular or plural, depending on
how they are used in a sentence.

 Singular indefinite pronouns take a singular verb;


 plural indefinite pronouns take a plural verb. Here are some guidelines to follow:
 Indefinite pronouns that end in -one are always singular. These words
include anyone, everyone, someone, and one.
 Indefinite pronouns that end in -body are always singular. These words
include anybody, somebody, nobody.

Possessive Case of Indefinite Pronouns


Indefinite pronouns can be made possessive with the use of ‘s. Indefinite pronouns are
words like someone, other, and any.
Examples:

It’s always good to know one’s enemy.

Try putting yourself in another’s shoes.

Application:

 The student need to create sentences using the words in the television and write
if it is in singular, plural, singular/plural or possessive form.
 They will write it on a ½ sheet of paper.
