To create an S-R latch, we can wire two NOR
gates in such a way that the output of one
feeds back to the input of another, and visa-
versa, like this:

It is also called Delay flip-flop because that is
how it is used. Data is delayed from output Q
by one clock pulse.

and the most commonly used flip flop when
discrete devices are used to implement
arbitrary state machines.
