This rubric evaluates critique papers on four main components: identification of the premise and supporting points of the document, application of analysis to relate the document to course content and real-life situations, critical evaluation of the premise and arguments, and paper formatting, writing mechanics, and organization. For each component, the rubric provides scoring criteria for work that is highly competent, competent, satisfactory, or unsatisfactory, with point values assigned to each level of competency.
