The website is for a private short term holiday home in Australia , we have an existing facebook site
and we also have the property listed on a number or Online Booking Sites ( OBS ) , such as Airbnb ,
Booking.com , Homeaway , Tripadvisor and Aura ………….. here are the links to view the property on
those 6 x sites ……………

Please visit all of these 6 x sites so you can view the property and get an idea of how I want the
finished website to look and how it should function for a potential Guest ………… obviously , although
the content of each of these sites is more or less the same , the structure varies from one to the
other ………. the main thing is that I need our website to have the same type of functionality as these
bookings sites

The 2 sites that I like the presentation of best is “ Aura “ and “ Booking .com “ …… so pay particular
attention to those 2 in particular ………………… particularly the Aura Site ….. I like the way it is set out
very simply and presents cleanly in one full page ……………… but I would like tabs across the top of
the page so that a person can select a category by clicking on a particular tab ( like location ) and
that section slides up into view automatically ……………..

Also , the booking window should remain in view at all times , so no matter where the client is on
the site they can easily and quickly select “ make a booking “ without having to look for it ….to see
what I mean by this ….. look at the Homeaway site ……………. to see what I mean here

As you can see from visiting these sites I have over 50 good photos and all the text that I need for
the website , what I don’t have is the functionality and that is what I need you to fix for me …..in fact
most ( but not quite all ) of the data can actually just be lifted straight from the “ Aura “ site ….. or I
can email it to in text format ( word ) and give you a link to the photos I have via Google Drive …..

When the website is finished it will need to have the following functionality ……potential guests will
be able to do all of the following when they visit our website ………

1. they will be able to email me directly from the site to make an enquiry or to ask a question
about the possibility of making a booking or just ask a general question about the property
for the purpose of clarification

2. they will be able to submit a booking request to an inbox on the site me to make a booking
subject to my final approval , and then the site will alert me via email to my private email
address that a booking request has come and I need to address it / respond to it ….just like
they can on any of the sites above ( except Facebook , they can’t book on that at the
moment , they can only make an enquiry , that’s something maybe we can address later
………………… after we fix the website and get that functioning properly first ……………..that can
be a separate Gig from this one , which we can talk about later )

3. once there booking is accepted …. they will be able to make secure payment by credit card
via the site using either Visa , Mastercard , Amex or Paypal ………………….if that is what they
wish to do

4. the site must have a “ blog “ component , so I can post weekly updates or comments to
assist with my SEO Rankings

5. the site must be mobile friendly and optimized for SEO ….. I will provide you with a list of key
words for SEO optimization purposes

6. they will be able to post a review on the site after they have vacated their booking and I will
be able to respond to or remove that review according to my preference
7. they will be able to view a calendar on the site that shows all of the currently booked dates
and will allow them the opportunity to input the dates they want to book and to get an
immediate quote of the cost of that potential booking ……..in exactly the same way they can
at the moment on any of OBS’s

8. the calendar on the site will automatically synch with a Google Ical based calendar that sits
on my laptop

9. all enquiries of any kind made via the site will require a name and email address to be
provided as part of the enquiry ( mandatory ) and the site will capture those details into a
data base that can be used for email campaigns in the future

10. the site will have a locational map , google based ……………

11. The site must have a reservations section ……………. which can record all the bookings as they
come in BUT only be accessable only by me , not the general public ……………

12. The site will have a Sitemap ………………

This covers most ( but maybe not all ) of my requirements , there may well be a few more issues
that arise as we go along …..but these are the main and important issues to start

if you want to do the work , what I need you to do now is to come back to me with an indication
that ……………………..

3. An indication of how long and how many revisions you will allow ………
