I. Rationale:
Executive Order No. 366 otherwise known as DepEd Rationalization
Program ensured organizational strengthening team formation, alignment to
Basic Education Monitoring and Evaluation Framework, Compendium of the
Office Practices and Job Description version 2 and Establishment of Quality
Management System (QMS).
Organizational alignment enables DepEd to align organizational
purpose, process (system) and people towards performance excellence.
The convergence of the SDO 1 governance levels, positive values of
officials and employees and unified support of stakeholders contributed to the
success of the strategic review of all SDO 1 programs and projects.

II. Brief Description of Best Practice:

“Collaboration is IN” (Instructional Networking)


Collaboration as defined in the Oxford Dictionary, is the action of
working with others/someone to produce or create something, work together for
a common goal along with receiving mutual benefits for the company as well as
the team.
Collaboration in DepEd is an essential strategy which gives priority
importance in achieving great end results to the organization. Teams/units were
created for easy access to services within the system, like the Office of SDS,
Curriculum Implementation Division and School Governance and Operations
Division who are tasked with specific functions to play/do in the organization.
In SDO 1 Pangasinan collaboration takes place to better serve its
stakeholders. CID in particular interfaces along areas of learning outcomes
assessment, teaching-learning delivery and instructional supervision.

III. Impact:
CID collaboration in SDO 1 Pangasinan paved the way to creating a
working environment where employees felt valued for their unique skills and
ideas. Smooth flow of operation is in place and solve shared challenges in
schools. Thus, collaboration leads to the holistic development of the
personnel concerned.
