This presentation is to show how I was able to manipulate my image using tools on Photoshop and
how I achieved my final result.

Blending Options Shadow Tool:

I used the shadow tool in order for

the badge banner to stand out as I
would like my audience to see the
College is Ofsted Outstanding. To do
this I right clicked onto the layer in
the layer’s section and clicked onto
‘Blending options’. I then check
marked the box which said ‘Drop
Shadow’. I kept the colour as black
and clicked on ‘OK’.

Shape Tool and Opacity/Stroke Tool

Shape/Eclipse Tool

To create this opacity effect I used the shape and eclipse tool. I firstly created an oval shape and
filled it in green then changed the opacity to 70% of the shape. I then clicked onto the stroke option
and created an outer stroke on the circle and changed the colour of that from black to light green.
Clipping Mask Tool

To create this effect, I used a png.

image of the Joseph Chamberlain
logo and a png. image of the Ofsted
logo. Firstly, in order to create this
clipping mask I had to ensure the
Joseph Chamberlains logo was on
top of the Ofsted logo. I also had to
make sure it was on top in terms of
layers. I then right clicked onto the
Joseph Chamberlain logo and clicked
onto ‘Create clipping mask’. This is
how I created this effect.

Create Clipping Mask

JCC text

In order to do this, I used the

quick selection tool and selected
the text from the logo. I then
created the layer as a new cut
and deleted the original layer.
Then again I right clicked and
went onto blending options and
chose a green colour overlay.

I layer masked all my layers to make

it look professional. This is done by
Layers dragging the layers in the correct
orders. This created a professional
look on my poster.

Scaling Tool

Scaling Tool:

I dragged the PNG image onto my

PNG layer poster and held down CTRL+T on my
paint keyboard I then dragged the corners
to adjust the size of the image layer.
