ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF REGISTRAR. GAUHATI UNIVERSITY

Application in prescribed form are invited for the post of Registrar in the Pay IUatrix at level l4 in the scale
of Rs. 1 ,44,200 - Rs. 2. I 8.200/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules ol the University. This is
a tenure post for five years.

Qualifications and experience required:

l. A Master's degree with at least 557o marks or its equivalent grade in the seven point scale. The Ph.D.
degree shall be desirable but not an essential qualilication.

2. At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level 1l - and above or with 8
1,ears of service in the Academic Level 12 and above including as
Associate Professor along with experience
in education administration.

or

Comparable experience in a research establishment and/or other institutions ofhigher education

or

l5 years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or equivalent post.

Age: Minimum age should not be less than 45 years as on the last date ofreceipt of application. The age of
superannuation is sixty years.

Desirable Qualification:

Experience/Knowledge of financial & human resource management and other related matters connected with
resource mobilization.

Prescribed application form is available in the University website www.gauhati.ac.in. Two copies of the
completed application accompanied by self attested copies of all certificates, mark sheets, proof of age,
documents in support of present position and pay etc. and a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1000/- (in
case of SC/ST Rs. 500/-) by Demand Draft drawing in lavour of "Registrar. Gauhati University" payable at
SBI. G.Ll. Branch must reach to Prof. Dilip Kr.KakatL Dean, Faculty of Science & Head, Deptt of Chemistry,6.U
and Member Secretary, Selection Committee fbr the post of Registrar, Gauhati University, Guwahati- 14" by
the last date. Persons in employment should apply through proper channel or tumish No Objection
Certiticate from their employer. Suitable persons on deputation may also be considered. Incomplete
,application or application received after the last date or without the application 1'ee shall not be considered.

Those who have already applied fbr the post against our earlier advertisement no NTS 4/2018 need not apply
again. However they may submit their updated Cv/proflle if so desire.

The University reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post at any time without assigning any reason
thereof. The right is also reserved with the University either to fill or not to fill the post and its decision in
