 Introduction

 Hotel Management System is a simple to use java based webpage created

using JSP, java servlets and MySQL as the backend database.

 The Customer can register themselves into the hotel into their choice of
room with a username and password for standalone login .
 The admin of the hotel can manage all the customers in the hotel. Adding
and deleting customers can be done through the interface.

 The purpose of the project entitled as “Hotel Management System” is to

computerize the Front Office Management of Hospital to develop software
which is user friendly, simple, fast, and cost – effective. It deals with the
collection of patient’s information, diagnosis details, etc.

 Traditionally, it was done manually. The main function of the system is to

register and store customer details and retrieve these details as and when
required, and also to manipulate these details meaningfully System input
contains customer details.
SYSTEM ANALYSIS :

EXISTING SYSTEM :

• In small hotels, the log of the customers is done manually and human error in
entering data and legibility is compromised.

• The entry and deletion of various customers is a tedious job and requires a lot of
manual work.

• There is no safety of these records. Anyone can access it.

• There is usually only one copy of the record. The admin cannot maintain
transparency with customers.

• The customers have more information about the facilities provided by the hotel.

PROPOSED SYSTEM :

• The project is basically designed for small scale hotels who cannot afford
expensive softwares.

• Customers can be added easily.

• There is a login module for customer as well as admin. Everyone can access data
and data security is ensured.

• There is a field to insert new customers.

• In this way manual work can be avoided. The room for errors is very small. Even
the work taken here is very less compared to manually entering the data.
