Vision

Peel Good Company (PGC) envisions to be the greatest food manufacturing


business, that will bring the best of the best products within its high quality, standard, and
taste that will go beyond the satisfaction limit of each consumer’s preferences.

Company Profile

“Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication”. Peel Good Company wants to


be the simplest and yet, a fascinating, dedicated, and a competitive industry. PG company
is a starting but a very innovative manufacturing business which started this year(2016)
in the hands of “10” grade-11 students of Kapayapaan National High School together
with the help and collaboration/partnership of JA Be Entrepreneurial Philippines, a very
well known international organization.

PGC’s goal is to have an excellent transaction and contribution in the field of


food commerce. In additional, PGC was established to be a competitive and well
organized corporation and aims to be on the top list market of the country for the next
future generation.

So…Something new to feel good? Yes! Peel Good Company is just ahead of
you. PGC is a well innovative and independent food manufacturing business who
produces patty products out of banana peels. Together with the collaboration of the PGC
management team, we created a product that is something new to the taste buds of our
consumers together with its affordability and availability.
Even though PGC was not derived from any Latin or Greek name, it doesn’t
matter at all as long as we are performing and competing excellently in the food
commerce and market industry.

PGC believes that in order to have the pinnacle of success, a company should
have philosophies that serve as a foundation that enables it to stand independently in the
market. The first philosophy is that according to Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe,
“knowing is not enough, we must apply. Willing is not enough, we must do”. What does
this mean? PG Company believes that the knowledge we attain should be applied into our
lives because in the field of business, every second counts and it is not in our vocabulary
to waste our golden executive time. To be willing in something is not enough; rather we
do our best that we can. Strategic suggestions in each member should be acquired.

”Soar with our own Strengths not with other people”. We all know that with the
great teamwork, success can be attained. Our PG Company does not rely to other
corporations unless otherwise they have a good intention to be part and will collaborate
with us.

Lastly, we have our own choices in business. We, the PG Company will never
go to the track of someone who already succeeded rather we will find a new way, a better
beginning, and an extraordinary ending of success. As what have John D. Rockefeller
said,” If you want to succeed you should strike out new paths, rather than travel the worn
paths of accepted success”. Because PG Company believes that business will be our
greatest passion in the end.

PGC’s main edge is that we don’t just innovate but rather, we the manufacturers,
tries to lessen waste (banana peel) in a way that our beloved customers would be
benefited. Moreover, PGC assures that our products will surpass the limit of the
expectations of our consumers.

A lot of people think that all banana and other fruit peels are not edible. But, the
real and shocking fact is that the banana peel is more nutritious than the fruit itself.
Banana peel contains more potassium and tryptophan that changes our mood when it is
not in good condition. As the saying goes,” Eat banana when you are sad”.

We, the PG Company offer you the most mouth watering patty that will ever
change your life once you tasted it. With the best organic ingredients and spices that we
used, we are presenting the Banana Peel & Squash patty, a non meat based food product
that will turn your world upside down and will change your daily diet and lifestyle
forever. Banana Peel & squash patty is a very distinct, nutritious and yet a flavorful food
that you never expected that will happen. The reason why we created this food is that
some people really don’t know that banana peel is edible and they prefer to eat meat
which is not healthy if being consumed daily than to eat fruit and vegetables. Other than
that, our innovation aims to lessen waste in the ecology.

PG Company’s main target customers are the children and students who tend not
to eat fruits and vegetables because of its unwanted taste. Second, to all canteens and fast
food chains so that they can easily distribute our product to all the vicinities and other
hidden provinces. And lastly, to those Companies like CDO who also produces meat
patty that can use our product as an alternative so that we can easily collect the
suggestions and recommendations of our beloved customers.

CEO/ President

Giovanny Earl C. Llanos is the main founder of the PGC and therefore the
responsibility for the entire company rests upon his shoulders. He is also the one who
plans the strategies and techniques to make the company rise above all. Even though he
don’t have a lot of knowledge and experience as being a CEO and a president, he has still
the ability to strategize and supervise his own management team to work collaboratively.
A CEO must be a risk taker and be able to take calculated risks after conducting an in-
depth evaluation of the probabilities associated with the profit and loss outcomes of the
decision, and that’s what Giovanny Llanos have. He has also the personality of being an
optimistic which is really important as a CEO in the times of having big competitors in
the industry. With this quality, he can be able to find opportunities even within difficult
situations and happenings.

The Chief Operating Officer(COO)

PGC will assign this second to the highest position to Marielle Canlas. Marielle
Canlas in the other hand is often responsible for serving as an information conduit to the
CEO, it is essential that the relationship between COO and CEO be a positive one. The
main job of COO is to report the daily improvements and other matters to the CEO which
Marielle Canlas should do. Marielle Canlas’ main objective in the company is to build a
good relationship between different officers like the board members and trustees.
Marielle Canlas deserve this position because she has the voice to be an independent
COO and she has the ability to interact and high credibility that could help the company
to build trust in different investors.

Industry Overview

Food Industry has been part and a very essential in the daily lives of all people
and that’s the reason why it is grown, processed and transported in different parts of
the world and is worth of understanding and improving. The food industry, in the other
hand, employs a vast numbers of employees each year and it is one of the main reasons
why the Peel Good Company has been part of it. PGC aims to employ a huge numbers of
employees to provide a decent livelihood to all people.

PG Company produces its one of a kind Banana peel & Squash patty. Unlike
other patties, PGC’s product was not grouped to meat processed foods because it is a
non meat based patty. PGC processes fresh banana peel & squash patty into canned and
packed goods to be delivered in the different vicinities and locations. Through the food
industry, PGC’s patty could be widely spread in an easy way of mass production.

Based on a wide research, billions of people eat meat based patty each day
world widely .If that so, PGC’s banana peel patty as a part of food industry can be a
great hit to everyone because aside from it is being used and consumed in different fast
food chains and restaurants, it is more nutritious and more people would highly
appreciate and prefer our product to use as their alternative patty. In foreign countries
like U.S, fast food industry has been a great click and part of the lives of many people
living there because of having busy schedules. In that case, importing patties from the
Philippines up to U.S could improve not just the healthy lifestyle of all the people living
there but also the present economic status of the food industry in the Philippines.

Though, many companies had already produced products in the field of food
commerce (who also produces patty like CDO, Bingo, and etc). , PGC still assures that it
will contribute a great role in the food industry for the next generation.
Competitive Analysis

The people of a company define its power”, and that’s what PG company believes.
Having a successful corporation is not just the goal of PGC rather, we aims to be the best
running business in the food industry with the greatest skilled workers.

Nowadays, much food related businesses are occurring with their different styles
of presenting their product and because of that, the rate of chance to attract customers
are getting lower. We all know that the main competitors of our Company are all big
sized enemies that have already established a huge presence in the food industry. For
example, our major threats in business comes from our different competitors like CDO,
Bingo, and other unknown brands because they have the best position to compete and
have the largest market shares in terms of producing packed products like patties. PGC
needs to pay more attention to those companies because they are all growing their
market share year on year, and at a faster rate than our own.

In additional, CDO Corporation has already built a trust and a wide popularity to
all people. To be able to compete in the food commerce, PGC should set its greatest
objectives that would allow us to make our own strategic plans and edges among
different rising companies. We must honestly admit that our product has its closest
resemblance in different companies but, we are making sure that it would click more
compared to other Big popular Corporations once the people has tasted it already. Once
you tasted it, you’ll forever want it.

Organization

The Business will start by purchasing its materials from the outside suppliers.
These outside suppliers are the one who will provide the materials that are needed to
produce a product. The materials collected will be manufactured to create a Banana Peel
& squash patty, the PGC’s product. After manufacturing, all the products will be
distributed to the Merchandisers and retailers. Once the product has been already sold to
the customers, the retailers will do their main job, to gather feedbacks regarding to the
product released. And then, PGC will hire the best skilled researchers and designers to
help the Company’s product improve more. The gathered feedbacks will be delivered to
the R&D or research and designers so that they can study and improve the product’s
quality.

After the new product of PGC was being released in the market, the management
team including the sales team, customer service, and financial marketing officers will be
hired. Once the organization has been already established in a specific location, all
functions and plans will be administrated/overlook if the PGC production and distribution
plan works out. In this part, the role of the C.E.O is being tested if he can supervise all
the officers to strategize and plan again a format of production and distribution cycle if
the previous plan was unfortunately unsuccessful. With the collaboration of each team,
the established organization could stand independently and has a proper continuous
process of working.

Material Outsource:

All materials like for packaging, ingredients to be used, and any variables in
making the Banana Peel & Squash patty will be sourced by different companies and
contributors. The primary materials that are needed to manufacture the product will be
paid minimally according to the target quantity of food samples.

Food Production test:

In this part, the food samples that are being produced will be given freely and
serves as a free taste to all the consumers batch by batch. With this process, PGC can
easily formulate and guarantee if the released food samples have passed the consumers
preferences/satisfaction. If the customers approved the samples, therefore we can proceed
in a mass production. If not, PGC continues in formulating another Banana Peel& squash
patty that would finally hit the consumer’s taste buds. Upon making food samples, PGC
tests the food quality assurance.

Facility Production and Quality Standard Maintenance

Simply, when the Banana Peel & squash patty has been finalized, it will undergo
a mass production with the help of other collaborating companies in the field of making
packed and frozen goods. Through the supervision of different food trading companies
and suppliers, PGC’s manufacturing facilities can be maintained., PGC can ensure the
quality and right timing of production through the help of other trading companies.
Moreover, PGC’s Banana peel & squash patty can be secured and inspected regarding to
its quality and standard in more improved facilities. Those patties that did not meet the
standards will be disregard and be delivered back to its main manufacturers so that the
rejected products can be corrected according to its size ,texture, taste and also the way it
was packaged.

Marketing Strategies

As a starting company, we have already located and planned some agents that
could affect our company strategies whether it is good or bad. One of these agents is the
primary target or customers who will consume our product. The consumers are the one
who will judge our product and will give commentaries according to their taste
preferences. And because of that, PGC finalized its product availability so that we can
point out our main primary consumers. PGC has its three (3) primary target markets and
they are the Kids, students, and fast food chains and/ or canteens. First are the kids. Why?
At the first place, kids really don’t love to eat fruits and even vegetables. They prefer to
eat meat because they still don’t know the bad effects of it if they in take it too much.
PGC wants to deliver its product in a resemblance of a meat patty that kids will surely
love and at the same time, healthy. Second is to all the students. Honestly, some of the
students spent their time studying and they tend not to eat their breakfast or even lunch.
That’s why, we, the PGC created a food that they will surely love and prefer to eat.
Lastly are the fast food chains and canteens. We considered them as our last but the most
important factor in our marketing strategy because they are the exact locations who
would help us to easily distribute our product in different vicinities and towns that our
company could not reach.

So how can PGC promote its product? Actually there is a lot of ways or methods
to promote PGC’s Banana Peel & squash patty. One of this is the most common way, free
taste. By undergoing free taste in a specific location, we could easily gather the
commentaries and information that we need to make our product more improve. We can
also do house to house free taste and discuss the benefits and features of our Banana Peel
and squash patty and how they can order it directly from us. The next way to promote
product is by using social media. One example of this method is the facebook Custom
Audiences. With Facebook Custom Audiences, we can advertise our product to our
website visitors or email subscribers. These ads tend to be very effective because we

As a partial finale for our marketing strategy, it is important to provide freebies


and promotions that affiliates with our product. Through the ff. methods, we could attract
more customers that would buy our product.

Sales Strategies

Peel Good Company aims to compete with other big franchising companies in
terms of its price. As a starting company, PGC aims to target the 60% total sales profit
within a year. In the part of PGC, the 60% mark-up price per patty is enough to bring it
on the top list market in terms of food commerce. The pricing of the banana peel depends
on its total expenses and the desired mark- up price added on it and the product quantity
being produced. Our price in the other hand is much lower than our competitors. Why?
because some of our resources are just recycled(Banana Peel) and was formed into a new
product. By this process, PGC can lessen its expenses and have the advantage to make its
product more affordable. But still, the quality, standard, taste and the availability of our
product can be still highly seen and maintained

Distribution Plan

The patties will be delivered by a trucking system directly to all merchandisers


like fast food chains, grocery/department stores, and in the market. For the mean time, all
the trucks that we used are from other trading companies until we have the right time
provide our own. In terms of food labeling and packaging, our labeling process must have
the ff. characteristics

 Clear and Easy to Read- to make the product more distinguishable that it
is a food and avoid product misinterpretation
 The food is Visible- to assure that the processed product still fit on its
usual or main standard and quality

Having the best sales and management team is very important to guarantee that all
strategic plans will work out. All financial and marketing officers including the staffs
should have at least 3 years of experience and has the capability to work even in
graveyard shifts. Before starting to work, all of them should undergo a specific training
depending on the job that they were assigned at.
Lastly, PGC requires to gather information in different customers to be able to
know their satisfaction level or referral views. Franchising partners, retailers, and
merchandisers will be the one who will handle this part. We can also set a website where
customers can write their commentaries, suggestions, and or approvals,
