I am trying to get an old 3 axis machine back into service.

I have the TEA1,

TEA2, SEA, and PCP all loaded into the machine and I have been able to home the
machine and run it. All our other machines that use the 810 contoller also use the
measuring circuit monitor that is turned off with Bit0 on 560*. When I turn
monitoring on and try to move an axis I get error 132* Control Loop Hardware. I
have two questions, what does the measuring circuit monitor actually do? What do I
need to look at to so I don't get the 132* error?

You need to have correct feedback from the measuring device. Like the error says.
You have a hardware problem.
It is not usualy a system fault but an encoder feedback error

Thanks for the reply. What are the potential problems I might have if I don't use
the measuring circuit? When I have the measuring circuit turned off, all three axes
work and travel the correct amount. I have verified the cables, axis drive cards
and even tried new motors and it is all three axes that are affected.

Bit 0 Bit 0=1 Alarm 132* is disabled (control loop hardware). The measuring
circuits
are no longer monitored for cable breaks.

The fault began on the Y axis. I changed the encoder. Fault was still there. I have
swapped encoder card and this made no difference. I swapped encoder cable this made
no difference. I have swapped X axis drive card with y axis drive card and this
made no difference, only that the fault said X axis this time because the motor
cable , tachometer and encoder were all connected on the X axis drive which is what
id expect. So now I am stumped with what to try next!

1120 and 1320 your first achse

1120 Remedy:1.NC MD 2120 (clamping tolerence)must be greater than NC MD2040 (exact
stop limit).
2.NC MD 156 (servo enable cutoff delay)must be large enough to allow the follwing
error to be cleared within this period (this only applies if NC MD 3720=0)
3.NC MD 3720 (zero-speed control delay)must be large enough to allow the following
error of the axisto be cleared within the period entered
4.Check actual values (encoder)and position control.
5.Reduce acceleration (acceleration/delay so large that the circuit voltage in the
drive will reach the permissible limit)

1320 is first axis

lcontrol loop hardware
Remedy:
1.Check that the measuring circuit connector is inserted.
2.By plugging in the measuring circuit short-circuit connector it can be checked
whetever the measuring circuit module is in working order.
3.Check the differential signal with an oscilloscope.
4.Replace the measuring sensors
5.Check NC MD 3840

The Alarm can only be deleted with POWER ON.

Thanks everyone. My problem solved. We got a limit switch was permanently shorted.
This created the problem. So, after releasing this the alarm vanish.
