On behalf of the Asia Water Council (AWC), it is my great honor to invite you to the 2nd Asia International
Water Week Stakeholders Consultation Meeting that will be held on 11-13 November 2019, Sheraton Hotel,
Jakarta, Indonesia. The Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MPWH) of Indonesia and AWC Indonesia will
host this preparatory meeting before the main event that is scheduled to be held on 10-14 October 2020 in
Bali.
MPWH and AWC Indonesia will convene local stakeholders including public and the private sectors,
especially inviting local communities, who have been through severe water challenges such as floods,
droughts, water diseases and scarcity, to hear their needs and expectations from the 2nd AIWW. In this
regard, local authority leaders, water practitioners, and general public will raise profound insights into
Indonesian water issues in the local context.
Moreover, Water Project Business Forum (WPBF) which will be held on 12 November 2019, during
Stakeholders Consultation Meeting, will be a great occasion for Indonesian city to locate private sector
which has required technologies and know-hows to help on-going or potential water projects for current
water related issues in Indonesia. AWC would also like to provide the procedure to raise funds from MDBs
and introduce the funding process and important assessment criteria in the project proposals.
Therefore, we carefully invite you to join our event and share your status on current water related problems,
introduce water projects that you are proceeding or planning to manage local water issues, and locate
possible support from water specialists, private sectors and MDBs.
To ensure smooth process during the forum, please find and fill-in the attachment on the next page
regarding the water project proposal. This will be shared to AWC members and MDBs to encourage them
to support your project. The more detailed the content is, the better possibility of successfully locating

Yours Sincerely,
Hak-Soo Lee

Project Business Forum (WPBF). There will be diverse players in water field such as
public sectors, MDBs, private sectors, international organizations, and academia to
find and discuss possible bankable water project which needs to be timely

numerous G2B and B2B Meetings. To make this event most meaningful, Indonesia

Indonesia where there are the needs to cope with water issues together with
private sector which has required technologies and know-hows. Also, AWC would
like to provide the procedure to raise funds from multilateral bank including the key
factors to keep in mind when submitting the project proposals.

will share this with AWC members and private sectors including engineering and EPC
companies in Korea so as to draw their interest in the Water Project Business Forum.
Also, we will invite Multilateral Development Bank to WPBF to give them a chance
to investigate the ongoing water issues in Indonesia and explain the whole process
of financial assistance and bank funding.
