Why Storyboards? Ecosystem Diagram

The concept of storyboarding is an effective way of identifying the process and details that an individual would For creating our ecosystem diagram, we figured it would be effective if we considered the
encounter throughout a scenario. In addition, storyboarding allows you to think of the individual’s behavior, and see people, technology, and process that the user would have to interact with in order to use the

most essential for the overall process of the website.

Task Flow Diagrams

After completing our personas, we were able to gain a deeper understanding
of who our audience may be for the new eCare website. Following this
process, we created task flow diagrams to identify the behavior and process
that the user may go through when trying to complete a certain task on the
eCare website. As a group, we decided it was best for each of us to create 3
task flows, and each of the tasks should relate to a certain need that the
persona needed to accomplish according to their scenario. When we
completed our task flows, we posted them on Google Docs and compared
them to the rest of the group. We came to the consensus that everyone had
ideas that others did not include in their task flows, and it was probably best
to take elements from each that would be most logical to use as the final
product for our task flow examples.

The final task flows would assist us in creating the storyboards based on our
personas. Our final task flows are displayed on the next page.

Storyboard Sketching
For creating our storyboards, our group came together with our own storyboard iterations based on our ecosystem diagrams and task flows that depicted different situations, and then we met during our class session to discuss
on which storyboard situations we wanted to include as the final deliverable. In addition to developing the final storyboards, we collaborated on creating new storyboard situations and elaborating on the overall process of how
the user would complete a certain task. The final storyboards we developed consisted of the following: Finding a doctor and chatting with them, Make an appointment, Receiving lab results, Renewing/Refilling a prescription
and paying for the billing, and Searching for flu shot information (on a mobile phone).

Once we chose the final storyboards, our group went through the process for certain storyboard situations, which helped us understand what additional content that we wanted to include in the design for the new eCare
website. Our final storyboards are displayed on pages 5-9.

Final Statements
The final result of our storyboards not only helped us understanding the behavior and process that our users would have to go through, but also what features and functions we would include in redesigning the eCare website.
Every member of our group collaborated with developing the task flows, ecosystem, and storyboards. In addition, each member contributed a unique situation for our three personas that related to their demographics and
personality. Overall, our group feels confident about the storyboards we have developed, and believe that they will further assist us by implementing our thoughts and designs for the new eCare website.
