DESCRIPTION
As a future educator I want to impact, change, influence to foster
positivity, strength while serving middle school students in public so
that students have a support system that helps them have a strong
mental health and become confident individuals in society. Every
student has potential and it is my job as a future educator to let my
students know that.

PROJECT MEDIUM (MULTIMEDIA)

I will use PowerPoint to use as a simulation of an application that will
express my philosophy in education. I found this media to be direct
and concise if you are trying to make a statement. It is very practical
and easy to use. Using PowerPoint is the most effective way to
express a clear message.

POTENTIAL BENEFITS OF MULTIMEDIA

I was able to use this medium in another project before and I really
enjoyed it. It is very practical and easy to use. Like mentioned before
this form of medium is very effective to make a direct point. The
users will not find it difficult to navigate around. There should not be
any confusion with the application.

POTENTIAL CHALLENGES OF MULTIMEDIA

Some challenges that may come when using this medium is that the
changes that I make during the process may not save. I can easily
avoid this problem by saving every single detail that I make. Another
problem that I may encounter is that the buttons in the application
will not work when placed in a PowerPoint show and my audience
may not use it properly. This problem can be resolved by testing it
myself and having someone peer review my application.

ARTIST STATEMENT

In the description above you may see my personal philosophy. It is

stated as follows, “As a future educator I want to impact, change,
influence to foster positivity, strength while serving middle school
students in public so that students have a support system that helps
them have a strong mental health and become confident individuals
in society. Every student has potential and it is my job as a future
educator to let my students know that.” I have seen and personally
experienced circumstances that have made me doubt my potential
and worth as a student and individual. It is my personal belief that
teachers not only have the responsibility to build students up, but
they have the power. Educators have the power to influence and
shape the minds of individuals. However, that does not mean
teachers influence students to think and believe like them but to help
them have a mind of their own. Apart from education, another
passion of mine is bringing awareness of the importance of mental
health. I have found that the mental health of an individual heavily
influences the amount of effort and dedication they place in their
personal lives, whether that be in relationships, work, or school.
These passions come from personal struggles and experiences that
have shaped who I am as an individual. As a student I never saw the
importance that schools placed on mental health issues that students
struggled with. There were countless suicide victims that I knew and

heard about throughout my educational career because they
struggled with anxiety and depression. As a future educator I want
to be able to provide my students with resources that will help them
battle any mental health issues. I will be able to do so with
technological devices. Throughout this course I was able to discover
multiple mediums that can be utilized in the classroom that will assist
the learning of students. An example of theses mediums are
Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. They are commonly used from
teachers to prepare lesson plans and present them to the students in
class. It is important that teachers take advantage of the new
technological advances to enhance the learning of students and help
them succeed in every aspect in their lives.
