PROCEDURE OF OUR WORK :

We have collecting the news from 1st august 2019 , we all have allotted to group 1 directed by
Md. Asif sir. Having six supportive member namely Deepika, Evan , Shyamoli, Moumita ,
Rituraj, and Shitanshu.
From on particular dates we collects news from prestigious sources such as Times of india, The
Hindu, The assam tribune and later we move towards particular source i.e TIMES OF INDIA.
We assigns to collects the news which are socio-cultural.
Earlier we mainly dependent on soft copy i.e e-news paper for collecting the news, but later as
per your guidelines we have started buying the hard copy through the contribution of group
members to avoid the financial instability.
All our members are from science background. According to our points of views socio- cultural
news was overlapped with different boundaries such as environmental, science and technology,
political news directly or indirectly affects our society so we face much difficulties in selecting
the proper content with context.But after getting proper guidance from you we are able to clear
our views and concepts.
Headlines mainly tells about the types of news. 1st we have gone through all the news
irrespective of their types by all the team members, Because we belief in ideas that each and
every news plays an important role in making intellectual citizens. Once we shortlisted socio
cultural news we have to selects the news which is of national importance. Since it is a group
activity we did our work according to our dates provided by team.
Mainly we write down 3 points related to our news namely news, views and facts.And after
reading the news we find out the technical terms and provided in glossary for the conveinance of
our classmates and commom people.

The difficulties that we have faced during our assignment

During our assignment we have faced so many difficulties and we overcome those difficulties.
At first already we have mentioned that we are dealing with socio-cultural News , Sir told us to
collect News from the Newspapers( The Hindu , The Times of India ), From the radio, the Rajya
Sabha News etc.
But we were the beginners in this work so we found difficulties in collecting news from all the
sources that sir has mentioned . So in the beginning we have used both the Newspapers but in the
later stages we were only collecting news from the Timesof India. Following are the difficulties
that we have faced-
1. Difficulties in collecting the hard copies of the newspaper as it is not easily available in
this area.
2. Identifying the sociocultural news as most of the news are related with society and
culture. Sometimes it is found that other categories news also fall in this particular
category.
3. We have faced difficulties in separating the views from the News.
4. We have failed to manage to do the task in a regular basis.
5. Separating the socio cultural news from the whole newspaper is very time consuming.
6. Difficulties in understanding the whole of the technical words related with each news.

During the assisgnment ,how sir has guided us :

At first sir had assigned us to do a assignment on text, then he asked us from where we
want to collect text . we have provided him so many options such as magazine,book
,newspaper etc. Then sir told us that newspaper will be the bettter choice to collect news.
Then he divided the newspaper in various topics such as socio-cultural news,political
news, economical news, science and technology related news, fashion and life style
related news,educational news, sports related news etc. After then he divided us into 8
groups and he guided us to collect news from various sources such as The Hindu
newspaper,The Times Of India etc. He described us the procedure what we have to do
after collecting the news. He asked to collect the newspaper clippings and then we have
to separe the news,views and factual information. And then sir told us to ask help from
him whatver we needed and he was always ready to guide us.For us he created a link in
google drive so that we can upload our news on that link daily basis. We just want to
thank him for guiding us in a proper way so that we have successfully completed our
work. Though we have faced so many difficulities doing our task as we have mentioned
above ,but with the help of sir ,we were abled to overcome those difficulities.

Here I want to mention about our presentation. Sir assigned us to present a presentations
on some topics such as single view, multiple view, marginalisation, dominant
narrative,diverse view point and how to accommodate diverse view point, at first we
were totally unknown about those topics.we have used internet to get a idea but we have
failed to collect the proper idea of the given topics ,then we met sir to provide us some
information regarding the topics.We are really so thankful with sir that because of him
we were abled to get the idea of single view ,multiple view and beautifully we have
presented our presentation. We think without the guidance of sir we may never be able to
present our presentation. Sir helped us, guided us, provided information and because of
him we were abled to get the proper idea.
