Islam is a Complete Code of Life

1)
Islam is an all-embracing way of life. It extends over the entire spectrum of
life, showing us how to conduct all human activities in a sound and wholesome
manner. It does not allow a hierarchy of priests or intermediaries between Allah and
human beings, no farfetched abstractions and no complicated rites and rituals.

Everybody can readily understand the Quran and follow in the footsteps of the
Prophet (may Allah exalt his mention), to the best of his or her ability, assured
by Allah that He will accept the deeds that each soul has the ability to offer (what
means): "On no soul does Allah place a burden greater than it can bear." [Quran
2:286]

When we read the Quran or the Prophetic traditions, we find instructions regarding
all aspects of life: political, social, economic, material, ethical, national and
international. These instructions provide us with all the details needed to perform a
certain act.

The Prophetic traditions go as far as showing us all the steps we need to follow,
even the etiquette of using the bathroom: supplications to be said upon entering it
and leaving it, how to clean ourselves properly and so on.

To summarize, Islam governs a Muslim's life in all its aspects. This is the reason why
it is not only a religion but also a way of life.

Islam does not recognize any kind of separation between religion and life. It openly
rejects the Western saying: "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, and unto God
what is God's"; for everything should be dedicated to God alone and a Muslim is
required to submit himself completely to the Will of Allah in all his affairs (what
means): "Say: ‘Truly, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah,
the Lord of the worlds. No partner has He: this am I commanded, and I am the first
of those who submit to His Will.’" [Quran 6:162]

Islam does not believe in wishful thinking. It clearly states that righteous conduct
must be followed by belief in Allah. The Quran says (what means): "For those who
believe and work deeds of righteousness is a reward that will never (fail)." [Quran
41:8]

And (what means):"Those who believe and work righteousness, joy is for them and
a blissful place of (final) return." [Quran 13:29]

Islam, as the revealed Religion from Allah, is comprehensive and perfect. Its Divine
Book, the Quran, is the most comprehensive book available to mankind for guidance
¾ nothing has been omitted from it.

In order to guide mankind to the Right Religion, Allah has completed His Divine Favor upon
us by making Islam the Perfect Religion. The last message that Allah has sent to His
Messenger, Prophet Muhammad for our Divine Guidance is the perfection of Islam.

As we mentioned above, when we read the Quran or the Prophetic traditions, we find
instructions regarding all aspects of life. The following are some Quranic verses and
Ahaadeeth (traditions), which reflect the comprehensiveness of Islamic economic, social,
religious and cultural values.

Fair/Honest Dealing in Trading, Buying and Selling

Allah Says (what means): “O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah, as witnesses
to fair dealing, and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong
and depart from justice. Be just: and fear Allah. For Allah is well-acquainted with all
that you do.” [Quran 5:8]

Hakim bin Hizam, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that Allah’s Messenger said:
“The seller and the buyer have the right to keep or return goods as long as they
have not parted or till they part; and if both the parties spoke the truth and
described the defects and qualities (of the goods), then they would be blessed in
their transaction, and if they told lies or hid something, then the blessings of their
transaction would be lost.” [Al-Bukhari]

Weighing/ Measuring of Goods for Business

Allah Says (what means): “Give full measure when you measure, and weigh with an
even (i.e., honest) balance. That is the best (way) and best in result.” [Quran 17:35]

Prohibition of Bribery

Allah Says (what means): "And do not consume one another’s wealth unjustly or send
it (in bribery) to the rulers in order that (they might aid) you (to) consume a portion
of the wealth of the people in sin, while you know (it is unlawful).” [Quran 2:188]

‘Abdullaah bin ‘Amr bin al-’Aas, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that he heard
Allah’s Messenger saying: "Fornication will not appear among any people without
their being punished by famine, and bribery will not appear among any people
without their being punished by terror.” [At-Tirmithi]

Avoidance of Hoarding and Monopoly

The Prophet, sallallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: "Do not withhold your money by
counting it (i.e. hoarding it), (for if you did so), Allah would also withhold His
blessings from you.” [Al-Bukhari]

Paying Salaries/Wages of Employees/Laborers on Time

The Prophet said: “Allah says: ‘I will be against three persons on the Day of
Resurrection: 1. One who makes a covenant in My Name, but he proves
treacherous; 2. One who sells a free person (as a slave) and eats the price; and 3.
One who employs a laborer and gets the full work done by him but does not pay
him his wages.’” [Al-Bukhari]

Prohibition for Fighting/Murder and Other Crimes

Allah’s Messenger said: “When two Muslims fight (meet) each other with their
swords, both the murderer as well as the murdered will go to Hell-fire.” It was said:
“O Allah’s Messenger! It is all right for the murderer but what about the
murdered? Allah’s Messenger, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam replied: “He surely had
the intention to kill his companion.’” [Al-Bukhari]

Peace and Reconciliation

Allah Says (what means): “The recompense for an injury is an injury equal thereto (in
degree): but if a person forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from
Allah; for Allah loves not those who do wrong.” [Quran 42:40]

Respect and Kindness to Women

Allah Says (what means): “O you who believe! You are forbidden to inherit women
against their will. Nor should you treat them with harshness, that you may take
away part of the dower you have given them, except where they have been guilty
of open lewdness. On the contrary live with them on a footing of kindness and
equity if you take a disliking to them it may be that you dislike a thing, and Allah
brings about through it a great deal of good.” [Quran 4:19]

Kindness to the Family, Parents, Relatives, Orphans, the Poor, the Needy and the Weak

Allah Says (what means): “...Treat with kindness your parents and kindred, and
orphans and those in need; speak fair to the people; be steadfast in prayer; and
give zakah (poor due)...” [Quran 2:83]

Respect to Non-Muslims (People of the Book)

Allah Says (what means): “And dispute not with the People of the Book, except in the
best way; unless it be with those of them who do wrong but say: ‘We believe in the
Revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; our
God and your God is One; and it is to Him we submit (in Islam).’” [Quran 29:46]
Conclusion
This compilation, although far from being complete, proves that Islam as
the perfect religion for the whole mankind is indeed complete. Allah Almighty
has chosen Islam as the only religion acceptable to Him. Islam is the best way
of life for all. It serves as the best solution to all sorts of problems no matter how
perplexing they may be. Islam is the absolute answer to those who seek a
perfect religion and a complete way of life. It guides us to a well-balanced life,
one that makes us happy and contented in this world and in the life Hereafter. It
is the way to attaining supreme success in the everlasting world to come. In
short, Islam, as the complete way for all, is Allah’s Mercy to the whole of
mankind.

2)
Islam is a constituent part of life. It tells us how to manage all activities of life in a
sound and ethical way. Everyone can easily understand the Quran and follow the footsteps of
the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), to the best of his or her ability. Allah assured that He will
accept the deeds that each soul has the ability to offer: “On no soul does Allah place a
burden greater than it can bear.” (Quran 2:286)
Islam established a clear system of worship, laws about how to live life, civil rights, political
rights, social issues and rights, laws of marriage and divorce, inheritance rights and all others
which we are dealing in our daily life routine. It is not for the mosque only; it is for daily
life, a guide to life in all its aspects. As we know Islam is a guide to life in all its aspects so it
keeps away a Muslim from the confusion of any type because Islam is logical and rational.
Islam conducts a Muslim’s life in all its aspects. That’s why it is not only a religion but also
a way of life. It surely states that righteous conduct must be followed by belief in Allah. The
Quran says: “For those who believe and work deeds of righteousness is a reward that
will never (fail).” (Quran 41:8)
The lines mentioned below explain some examples of Islam being a complete Islamic code
of life by showing the instructions related to different areas of life.
o How to behave with Non-Muslims: Those who don’t accept Islam and we can say
those who are nonbelievers are called Non-Muslims. Allah (SWT) teaches Muslims to
treat them kindly and respectfully. Let these people believe what they want to don’t be
rude to them. Those who are rude and offensive are disliked by Allah.
o About Forgiveness: Allah loves those who forgive others mistakes. He asked people to
forgive others if they want to be loved by Allah Almighty. We have so many examples
of forgiveness from the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), He (SAW) always forgave
his enemies.
o About Justice with Others: Justice is an important principle of life because when
injustice overrule, corruption is the result which can vanish everything. Allah (SWT)
advised Muslims to do justice correctly in all aspects of life.
o For Spiritual Life: Islamic code of life tells us about Salah, Fasting, Zakat, Pilgrimage,
love for Allah and His Messenger, love for truth and humanity for the sake of Allah,
trust in Allah at all times and doing well for the sake of Allah. Islam provides us
guidance about all these things and also many others which not mentioned here.
o Family Life: Family is a human social group whose members are bound together by the
bond of blood ties and/or marital relationship and nothing else. Marriage is a religious
duty on all who are capable of meeting its responsibilities. Each member of the family
has rights and obligations. Islamic code of life teaches us about the fulfillment of their
rights and we should fulfill all rights respecting to each individual.
o Honest Dealing in Trading: Allah Almighty says in Quran:
“O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah, as witnesses to fair
dealing, and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to
wrong and depart from justice. Be just: and fear Allah. For Allah is
well-acquainted with all that you do.” (Quran 5:8)
From above verse, we can conclude that Allah teaches us about doing Justice in all aspects of
life whether its business or any other thing. We should be careful while doing trading,
buying and selling in our daily life so that we are not doing unjust with anyone.

o Prohibition of Bribery: Allah says in Quran :

“And do not eat up your property among yourselves for vanities, nor
use it as a bait (bribe) for the judges, with the intent that you may eat
up a little of (other) people’s property.” (Quran 2:188)
From above-mentioned verse of Quran, we conclude that we should keep away from bribery
it is disliked by Allah (SWT).
These are some points which we have mentioned in this article about Islam is a complete
code of life. There are so many other things in our life about which Islam gave us guidance
how to live a life in a proper Islamic way. May Allah (SWT) give us chance to live our lives
according to teachings of Islam and follow the islamic code of life.
3)
How Islam is A Complete Code of Life?
The claim of Muslims that Islam is the complete code of life is not merely a false or shallow claim,
rather from reading the ayahs of Quran and the knowing traditions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
give this claim a strong and provable groundings on the bases of which a Muslim can follow Islam
and its instructions without any doubt.
The prime focus of Islam is to make sure that maximum of its followers rest in heavens in the
afterlife. However, in order to do so, the followers have to live this life according to the instructions
of Islam and follow the path of righteousness. Unlike other religions, the path of righteousness is
not related to religious traditions and obligations only, rather righteousness is to be observed in
every aspect of life and this is why Islam gives proper instructions to live life.
Before moving on to explaining how Islam gives complete code of life by giving some examples,
the need is to understand the essence of being righteous or doing right deeds in this world. In
Quran, Allah Almighty says:

“Say: ‘Truly, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, the
Lord of the worlds. No partner has He: this am I commanded, and I am the first of
those who submit to His Will.” (6:162-163)
From the ayah in can be deduced that one of the prime purposes of human life is to submit to the
Will of Allah. Now the question that arises is that how can a Muslim know the will of Allah or what it
is as a whole? This is what gives the answer to the complete code of life, as Allah Almighty has
given His will with regards to the way Muslims must live life, so that it is according to His will and
the Muslims could be rewarded consequently. Regarding this Allah Almighty says in Quran:

“For those who believe and work deeds of righteousness is a reward that will never
(fail).” (41:8)
Therefore, the prime reason behind Allah Almighty giving a complete code of life is the fact that
there should be no area in the life of a Muslim that does not have any instructions, and by
following those instructions in life Muslim actually submits to the Will of Allah, which pleases Him
and He then rewards a better world to the Muslims in the world Hereafter.

The lines below give some examples of Islam being complete code of life by highlighting the
instructions related to different walks of life.

Honesty in Trading:
Islam does not emphasize upon the religious life of a person only, rather it commends the
followers to be honest in every walk of life, especially when it comes to trading in the form of
buying and selling. In Quran, Allah Almighty says:

“O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah, as witness to fair dealing, and let
not hatred of others make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just:
and fear Allah. For Allah is well-acquainted with all that you do.” (5:8)
Therefore, from this ayah, it is clear that Islam wants Muslims to be just and be fair in their
dealings. Further to that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said in one of His hadiths:

“”The seller and the buyer have the right to keep or return goods as long as they
have not parted or till they par; and if both the parties spoke the truth and
described the defects and qualities (of the goods), then they would be blessed in
their transaction, and if they told lies or hid something, then the blessings of their
transaction would be lost.” (Bukhari)
Therefore, pertaining to conduction of trade, Islam has given forward its rules and for a Muslim to
be successful in this life and the one hereafter it is imperative to follow these rules.
Weighing And Measuring In Business:
In addition to honesty in business, Islam also wants the followers to be fair especially when it
comes to weighing and measuring the goods in business. Allah Almighty says in Quran:

“Give full measure when you measure, and weigh with an even balance. That is the
best (way) and best in result.” (17:35)
Thus, Islam wants the followers to be just in dealing and whenever it comes to weighing or
measuring goods for selling and buying purposes, one needs to be fair and just in that occupation
as well.

Condemnation of Bribery:
Another evil for which the societies of the world today have laid down laws and regulations is
bribery. It is abhorred in all societies, however, for them it is purely a matter of legal pursuit. On the
other hand, Islam does not let bribery go out of the reach of the religion, and condemns it in the
religious manner so that Muslims wont fall prey to it. Allah Almighty says in Quran:

“And do not consume one another’s wealth unjustly or send it (in bribery) to the
rulers in order that (they might aid) you (to) consume a portion of the wealth of the
people in sin, while you know (it is unlawful).” (2:188)
This ayah explicitly forbids the act of bribery and regards it as a sin. Therefore, for people of other
religion and societies, bribery might be against the law, however, for Muslims, bribery is against
the religion.

Avoiding Hoarding:
Another aspect of life that Islam gives clear instructions about is hoarding of money, which
primarily happens because of either a person wishing to achieve monopoly or out of sheer
miserliness. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said in this regard in the following way:
“Do not withhold your money by counting it, (for if you did so), Allah would also
withhold His blessings from you.” (Bukhari)
Paying Wages On Time:
Hiring labor is a daily life activity, which everyone of us does in one form or another. Regarding
hiring of labor and their wages, Islam instructs the followers to pay the wages of the labor on time
without any delay so that they get their right on immediate bases. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
said in this regard:

“Allah says: ‘I will be against three persons on the Day of Resurrection: One who
makes covenant in My Name, but he proves treacherous; One who sells a free
person (as a slave) and eats the price; and One who employs a laborer and gets the
full work done by him but does not pay him his wages.” (Bukhari)
Therefore, where in other societies of the world taking wages on time is the right of the labor,
Islam makes it a religious obligation.

Avoiding Fighting And Crimes:

Islam is strictly against all kinds of crimes in general and murder in particular. In Islam, murder is
one of the worst evils that a person can commit, and the graveness of it increases even further
when it takes place between two Muslims. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said in this regard:

“When two Muslims fight (meet) each other with their swords, both the murderer
as well as the murdered will go to Hell-fire.” It was said: “O Allah’s Messenger! It is
all right for the murderer but what about the murdered? Allah’s Messenger replied:
“He surely had the intentions to kill his companion.” (Bukhari)
Therefore, killing is one of the gravest sins that guarantees life in hell for both the people involved
in pursuit of the deed.

Peace:
Where people in different societies of the world are laying down rules and regulations to ensure
peace, Islam gives the need for peace as a religious and moral instruction. Allah Almighty says in
Quran:

“The recompense for an injury is an injury equal thereto (in degree): but if a person
forgives and makes reconciliation, his reward is due from Allah; for Allah loves not
those who do wrong.” (42:40)
Therefore, Islam does not encourage violence, rather it wants its followers to be peaceful and
forgiving to ensure a society where love prevails.

Kindness Towards All:

Above all the one thing that Islam preaches to its followers the most is kindness towards others.
Islam wants the followers to be peaceful and live a life where they are kind towards the others and
respect and care for each other. Regarding this, Allah Almighty says in Quran:

“…..Treat with kindness your parents and kindred, and ophans and those in need;
speak fair to the people; be steadfast in prayer; and give Zakaah.” (2:83)
Thus, one ought to be kind towards all if one is a true Muslim. Other societies of the world that
work on preaching ethics to people, Islam makes kindness a part of religion. Moreover, besides
kindness in general, Allah has given the rights to women which the women of west have come to
gain not more than a century ago. Regarding the rights of women, Allah Almighty says in Quran:

“O you who believe! You are forbidden to inherit women against their will. Nor
should you treat them with harshness, that you may take away part of the dower
you have given them, except where they have been guilty of open lewdness. On the
contrary live with them on a footing of kindness and equity if you take a disliking
to them it may be that you dislike a thing, and Allah brings about through it a great
deal of good.” (4:19)

Conclusion:
In a nutshell, there is no matter of life about which Islam has not spoken either in the form of
verses of Quran or in the form of traditions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Therefore, whenever
there is guidance required by a Muslim regarding any aspect of life, he or she must consult both
these resources before going for any other book or worldly rule

4)
Islam is a religion, but not in the western meaning of religion. The western
connotation of the term "religion" is something between the believer and God. Islam is a
religion organizes all aspects of life on both the individual and national levels. Islam
organizes your relations with God, with yourself, with your children, with your relatives,
with your neighbor, with your guest, and with other brethren. Islam clearly establishes your
duties and rights in all those relationships. Islam establishes a clear system of worship, civil
rights, laws of marriage and divorce, laws of inheritance, code of behavior, what not to
drink, what to wear, and what not to wear, how to worship God, how to govern, the laws of
war and peace, when to go to war, when to make peace, the law of economics, and the
laws of buying and selling. Islam is a complete code of life. Islam is not for the mosque only,
it is for daily life, a guide to life in all its aspects: socially, economically, and politically. Islam
is complete constitution. Thus Islam keeps the Muslim away from confusion, because Islam
is logical and rational. Allah is one. Allah is one Allah has no sons. Allah is not trinity. Allah
does not kill to save. No mediation is required between Allah and man. Islam organizes
human nature, but does not go against it. There is not a class of clergy in Islam; nor is there
celibacy. Islam is complete code of human life.

5)
Islam is a code of life

1. Moral life.
2. Intellectual life.
3 Personal life.
4. Family life.
5. Social life.
6. Economic life.
7. Political life.
8. International life.

-Moral life:

The Islamic prescription: the Prophet Muhammad, during its mission which lasted for
23 years, was a living human example of Islam. The instructions explained in the
Sunnah (sayings and deeds of the Prophet) were a complete code for all aspects of
moral conduct. Islam instructs the Muslim be honest, truthful, sincere, charity, modest,
merciful, just, pure, timid, faithful and abiding in his promise. On the other side, it
prohibits all adjectives opossed to the previous and also prohibits the envy, hypocrisy,
false flattery, ridiculousness, evil-speaking, slander and vanity.

-Intellectual life:

The Islamic prescription: the source of the real knowledge has to be based on clear
evidence and indisputable evidence acquired by experience or testing, or both.
The Qur'an indicates that the man must acquire knowledge through the immense
universe.
The faith of the Muslim God is based on convictions and analytical research and thus
the intellect can penetrate in all areas of knowledge. There are no Muslim ecclesiastical
institutions or their peers. Knowledge is not monopolized by clerics or men of religion.
Every Muslim has to learn Islam instructions and apply them.
-Personal life:
The Islamic prescription: purity and cleaning, diet, dress and ornament, distractions
and breaks, legal sexual relations through marriage.
Islam forbids everything that affects the body as alcohol, drugs, animals and dead
birds, meat pork meat, any animal sacrificed to the spell of another name that is not of
God and blood of animals. Islam also recommends that take into account the means
healthy to eat or store food, clean hands and mouth, eat in moderation... etc.

-Family life:

The family is a social group of people whose members are United by blood ties or the
conjugal relationship and not other foreign ties (adoption, mutual Alliance, marriages of
common law or test.. etc.) God devoted much respect to the parents, especially the
mother, whether Muslim or not.

Marriage is a religious duty for every man capable of fulfilling the responsibilities that
this implies. Each Member of the family has rights and duties. The marriage contract is
not valid without the overall feeling of the intending spouses. The husband is pastor of
his wife completely even though it is rich, has No right to intervene in the way they
conduct their own wealth.

Islam legislated the polygamy (no more than four) in a few specific cases with the
condition that the husband has financial means to maintain them and that is fair to all.
They are conditions practically difficult to carry them out for most. The Muslim should
not occur to divorce but after failing all attempts and the intervention of family
members.

-Social life:

God ordered man to work closely with all the members of his family, with relatives,
servers and neighbors. In Islam there is no mention of superiority by reason of class,
origin or finance, but goodness and the good work of the individual.
Humanity represents a family born of a single and identical father and mother. The
oneness of humanity not only from their source, but that goes also to his latest goals.

-Economic life:

The man should earn a living through honest work; this is not only a right, but a great
virtue.
Everything you win the man by legitimate means is your private possession, on which
the State, nor anyone else, can claim rights justified. In return, you only have to meet
certain obligations to society, and pay certain taxes to the State, and this, in turn, is
responsible for the security of the individual.
The economic system of Islam has not only been drawn up in light of arithmetic
calculations, but also to moral principles. The key to this system is the Zakat and
charity.
The man comes to this world with empty hands, and leaves in the same way. Authentic
and real owner of things is only God, from whom all owners are simply an agent
named as mere depositary. While Islam does not prevent the Muslim to acquire wealth
and private projects, however, it cannot the selfishness and greed of capitalism.
Islam adopts a moderate and method positive between the individual and society,
between the citizen and the State, between socialism and capitalism, between
materialism and spiritualism.

Islam legislated detailed guides of commercial transactions in order to ensure the

justice between the parties concerned.

Only earns money--according to Islam — through real investment of resources, work

and intelligentsia, the money does not produce itself. Islamic substitution of the
interests set out above provided, is the Consortium. Islam legislated various types of
Consortium and invites the Muslim give loans without change or interests to help
others.

-Political life:

In the Islamic State, sovereignty belongs to God, and all the people serves it as deposit
received from them to comply with the law and carry out their will. The main mission of
the people is to build Islamic society and convey Islam to humanity in all parts of the
Earth. Every Muslim - in place and capacity - has an important role to make the truth
and prevent injury.

The ruler is an employee representative, elected by the people, to serve him according
to the law of God. The State aims to administer justice and provide security and
protection for all citizens.

Rulers and administrators must be chosen among the most qualified citizens. If leaders
betray the trust of God and the people should be expelled and replaced by others.
Islam imposes sanctions to all crimes that affect the safety and integrity of society as,
for example, killing, terrorism, theft, adultery, homosexuality, alcoholism and
defamation.
Those not Muslims can manage their private lives as marriage, divorce, food, heritage,
according to the instructions of their religions or according to the Islam if they want to.
They have the right to choose between paying the Zakat or special tax place called
'Jizyah'. In both cases, the Islamic State is forced to save them protection and safety
and freedom of religion.

-International life:
All people are children of Adam, equal in their human status and its purpose. Muslims
respect the interests of others and their rights to life retain their properties and his
honor provided they do not usurp the rights of Muslims. El Islam rejects all kinds of
transgression.

Holy war - according to Islam — means helping oppressed peoples to recover their
freedom and their legitimate rights to freely choose their doctrines and way of life.
Islam does not, and never did, the obligation, blackmail or bribery to make it one to
Islam; although the Muslims are those who have suffered and continue to suffer
oppression and economic obligations and blackmail. As proof of this, what happened in
Spain, Palestine, India, Borma, Bosnia. Non-Muslims: Christians and Jews have always
in Islamic societies of security and protection and respect for their rights.

Muslims only resort to war when their safety is imperiled. Islam does not justify, in the
States of war - the destruction of crops, not allowed to give death to women who do
not fight, children and the elderly.

It should respect international treaties provided the other parties remain faithful to
their obligations. It cannot be broken treaties by political or economic gains temporary.

Islam is a Code of Life
It is a Muslim belief that Muhammad's mission was for the whole world and for all the time;
because:
The mission of Muhammad, as well as of other prophets who brought the universal message
of Islam, does not end with the announcement of the message. He has to guide the people by
explaining to them the implications of the Islamic creed, the morale code, the divine
injunctions and commandment, and the form of worship that sustains the whole system. He
has to exemplify the faith so others can pattern their participation in the evolution of Islamic
culture and civilization. The believers must grow under his guidance into an organized
community so that Allah's word will prevail over all other words.

 Spiritual Life: prayer (salah), fasting, charity giving (zakah), pilgrimage (hajj), love for Allah
and His Messenger, love for truth and humanity for the sake of Allah, hope and trust in
Allah at all times and doing good for the sake of Allah.
 Intellectual Life: True knowledge based on clear proof and indisputable evidence acquired
by experience or experiment or by both. The Quran points to the rich sources of knowledge
in the whole universe. Islam demands faith in Allah on the basis of knowledge and research
and leaves wide open all field of thought before the intellect to penetrate as far it can reach.
 Personal Life: purity and cleanliness, a healthy diet, proper clothing, proper behaviour, and
good healthy sexual relations within marriage.
 Family Life: A family is a human social group whose members are bound together by the
bond of blood ties and/or marital relationship and nothing else (adoption, mutual alliance,
common law, trial marriage...etc.). Marriage is a religious duty on all who are capable of
meeting its responsibilities. Each member of the family has rights and obligations.
 Social Life: Man is ordained by Allah to extend his utmost help and kindness to other family
members, relations, servants and neighbours. No superiority on account of class, colour,
origin or wealth. Humanity represents one family springing from the one and the same
father and mother. The unity of the humanity is not only in its origin but also in its ultimate
aims.
 Economical Life: Earning one's living through decent labour is not only a duty but a great
virtue as well. Earning is man's private possession. The individual is responsible for the
prosperity of the state and the state is responsible for the security of the individual. The
Islamic economic system is not based on arithmetical calculations alne but also on moral
and principles. Man comes to this world empty-handed and departs empty-handed. The
real owner of things is Allah alone. Man is simply a trustee.
 Political Life: The sovereignty in the Islamic State belongs to Allah; the people exercise it
by trust from Him to enforce His laws. The ruler is only an acting execu tive chosen by the
people to serve them according to Allah's law. The State is to administer justice and
provide security for all citizens. Rulers and administrators must be chosen from the best
qualified citizens. If an administration betrays the trust of Allah and the people, it has to be
replaced. Non-Muslim can administer their personal life of marriage, divorce, foods and
inheritance according to the Islamic law or to their own religious teachings. They may pay
Zakah or a different tax tributes "Jizyah". They are entitled to full protection and security of
the State including freedom of religion.
 International Life: Man has a common origin, human status and aim. Other people's
interests and right to life, honour and property are respected as long as the right of Muslim
are in tact. Transgression is forbidden. War is only justified if the state security is
endangered. During war, destruction of crops, animals and homes, killing non -fighting
women, children and aged people are forbidden.
