operate the machine and the attentions in details. For safe ,long term and efficient
use , please read all instructions before start-up !

Safety Guides (Please read this section carefully and follow it)
Warning

1. Please do not put the machine on an unsteady or sloping place. Make sure to

fix the machine‟s feet wheel once locate the machine.

2. Please do not mangle, dismantle or pull the power cord. Do not put heavy object on the
power cord or tie the power cord.

3. If the power cord is damaged, Please pull out the power cord.

4. Please do not cut off the power with wet hand. Or it will cause short circuit.
5. When sundries get into inside of the machine, please do not use the
machine,
Otherwise it may cause fire or electric shock.
6. Please do not repair or teardown the machine optionally.

7. Do not use power otherwise than specified voltage.

Cautions
1. Please locate the machine at well-ventilated place, make sure to keep it away from
water and dusty.
2. Please insert the power cord into a wall outlet directly, you had better not use extension
cords.
3. Please pull out the power cord before moving the machine. If the power cord is
damaged, fire or short circuit may happen.
4. Please turn off the power when connecting or taking off the power cord.
5. The ideal environment for the equipment would be
Temperature ：10-30℃，Humidity：20-90%RH.

This chapter provides the basic information about the machine, including
the names of parts, all buttons of control panels, requirement of original
and print paper. Please read this chapter first before use.

Operation Panel
Operation panel contains all information and functional button. This chapter mainly shows
the name and function of all keys and screen.

1.【Touch screen】
Display all printing operations.All printing operation can be operated in this screen..
2.【Wake-up】Key
End the sleeping made
3.【Sleeping,Auto shut down Light】
Shows machine in Sleeping or Auto shut down made.
4.【Auto shut down】Key
Shut down the machine automatically
5.【Scan denisity】Key and Light
Adjust density of scan for 5 grades. The light shows the current printing density.
6.【Space position adjustment】Key and Light
Adjust space position .The light shows where the current position is.
7.【Space position return to 0】Key
Return Space position to 0.
8.【Print Speed Adjusting】Key and Light
Adjust the speed of printing for 5 grades. The light shows the current printing speed.
9.【Numeric】Key
Press it to input the number of printing or number in other operation made

 Notes:
＊1 second interval should be allowed when press two keys continuously.

and total printed sheet number

Turn on the power，after the screen start up, it will enter the initial screen
 Basic screen
1. Turn on the power ,start up the screen:

2.After starting up, the initial screen enter waiting state；

3.After seconds the initial screen enter ready state, basic screen will show up；

The basic settings for printing are showed on the screen,the user can imput the number of
printing sheets， You can select original type, size and processing mode, Copy size,
master-make density, Scanning density, Zoom Ratio, Space position and Printing speed.
The user can operate function of Master making , Test printing ,Reset, Stop and Printing
etc..

 Screen Set
Touch <Set>，to set energy-saving and other printing functions，Click Ok to back to the
basic screen.

 Group Printing Screen

Touch<Group printing>Or press【P】Key to set group printing function.

 USB disk Screen
Insert the USB disk，touch <U disk>,the screen will show its contents and all parameters.

Specified Original/Print Paper
 Specified Original：
Put the Original on the scan glass，Min size 50mm×90mm，Max size 310mm×434mm.
If the original is book, make sure the book is within 10 KG to avoid destroying the scan
glass.
Following types of original can not be used：
＊ The original with crack or large file-binding holes
＊ The original which has been folded or violently curled
＊ The original with staples or paper clips
＊ Carbon-backed documents
＊ High transparent original
＊ Adhesive paper
Put the Original on scan glass as showed below.

 Print Paper
Put the print paper on paper feed tray ， Min size 100mm×148mm ， Max size
320mm×430mm，Capacity 35g/m2-210 g/m2 ；When select ADF auto paper feeder，
Two-sided paper feed Capacity：50 g/m2-100 g/m2；One sided paper feed Capacity：40
g/m2-100 g/m2 。
The following types of paper can not be used：
＊ Rough cut paper
＊ Humid paper
＊ Wom, folded ,curled ,or creased paper
＊ Glossy paper
＊ Dusty paper.

Chapter2.Basic Operation

Before use
1. Turn on the power
Connect power code, turn the power switch to “1”.

2.Open the paper feed tray

3. Place the paper sheets

1) Adjust paper guide plate according to the paper size

2）Place the paper sheets on the paper feed tray, Move the paper guide plate to make it
contact well the paper sheets.

 Micro switch

The load capacity is 1000sheets (70g/m 2)

◆ Note:
＊ Press down Micro switch to lay down the paper feed tray when adding paper sheets or
changing paper.
＊ When the print paper is used up, the pay feed tray would lay down to the bottom
automatically.
＊ After replenish the print paper,press micro-switch, and the feed tray will lift up
automatically
4. Set feed pressure
1） Select the thickness of the print paper by the pressure switch on cardboard. Clockwise
selection is “Thin”-“Standard”-“Thick”.

2) Adjust the thickness of the print paper by the pressure switch on back wall.
“High”-“Medium”-“Low” according to “Thin”-“Standard”-“Thick” selected above.

You can choose one or both of the operation above or operate synchronously.

5.Open the paper receiving tray

1)Law down the receiving tray slowly:

2) Open the paper receiving guide, adjust them according to the paper size.

3) Open the central guide, adjust it to the proper position.

6. Installation of Master
Refer to《Replace Master of Replace consumables》.
1) Press Scan flat lock level key, open scanning
Scan flatcover.

2) Press down the thermal head release lever to “Open” position;

Cautions：

Do not touch the thermal head , otherwise it shall be scraped, which shall effect master
making quality.
3) Put the new master roll onto the master bracket；

Notes：Put the smooth side down when place master.

4) Send the master to the cutting entrace:
Way one: Feed the master head (with mil finish adown) between the printing roller and the
thermal head, and push the release lever to position “Close”. Close the scan table and
then master making can be started.

Way Two: Put the thermal head release lever to “Close” position, master mil finish adown ,
put the master under the print roller and thermal head, keep pressing the cutter micro
switch , the master feed forward automatically , when the distance is 5-10mm to the cutter,
then use right hand to press thermal head release lever, with the left hand pull the master
to the feed entrance , close the scan table and then master making can be started.

Way Three : Put the thermal head release lever onto the “Open” position, put the master
head in between the print roller and the thermal head, feed the master forward until
10mmm to the cutter blade, pull the master straight, and release the thermal head release
lever to “Close” position. Press the cutter micro switch and cut the extra master. Take out
the cut master piece. Close the scan table and then master making can be

started.

Warning! The process of cutting master includes process of cutter returning to

its start point. Don‟t take out the master head piece until the whole cutting procedure is
completed. It‟s dangerous, please be careful.
◆ Notes:
＊ Slightly reverse the master roll to tighten the master.

5) Close the scanning cover.

Installation of the ink

Refer to《Replace Ink of Replace consumables》.
1) Open the front door:

2) Press down the ink case switch:

3) Open the ink lid, make sure the ink mouth groove connect to “U” mouth of the drum..

Correct installation as below:

Notes:
1. Do not expose ink in the air for long time,otherwise the air will leak in the ink

cartridge,and the ink cann‟t be absorbed properly during operation
2. Please vertically take the ink cartridge when you open a new one.
4) Lock the ink holder tightened, or the air will be leaked in and the ink can not be well
pumped in. The work between ink cartridge and ink pump nozzle can be adjusted by the
adjusting bolt;

5) Close the front door.

◆ Notes：
＊ After new ink installed , the machine will operate to make the ink reach the drum. The
drum will stop automatically after getting enough ink in .

Cautions:
1. Only Rongda master is applied to this machine;
2. Please place this ink out of the reach of children;
3. Store the ink in a cool, dry place not keep it in the heat or direct sunlight;
3. Be careful to avoid staining your clothes and hands when installing the ink;
4 .Please close the ink cartridge after using to avoid it spoil out.

Standard Printing
This section describes the basic procedure for master making.
1. Placement of the Original
1) Open the original support tray

2) Place the original on the middle of original tray with image side down.

Notes: A4、16k、B5、and A5 size can be placed in both vertical and horizontal

direction；A3 and B4 can only be placed in vertical direction. When zoon within standard
size , A4 size original can only be placed in vertical direction.
3) Close the scanning cover slightly;

Cautions：When you place thick originals such as books on the scan glass you can

not press the scan cover hard, otherwise it will damage the glass.
2. Specified printing setting(Refer to《Printing function section》)
3. Master making
1)Touch<Number of test sheets>，Press【Numeral】Key to set number, touch <Ok>return
to the basic screen.

◆ Notes：
＊ Max test printing number set 9 sheets;
＊ If printing numberis imput before master making,the machine will start to print directly
without test printing;
＊ In case no print sheet or test sheet is set,the default test print is 1 sheet.

2)Touch <master making> or press【master making】key, master making begin;

3) After master making, the machine will print test print automatically;
4) Check if the print is centered, if not ,double check if the original and the printing paper is
in the middle .
4.Print
1)Press【Numeral】Key to set printing number;

◆ Notes：when entered wrong information，you can press【C】to delete it and reset it.

2）Touch <Print>or press【Print】Key，it starts print. The set print number decreases. The
printouts are delivered onto the receiving tray;
3）The machine stops automatically after printing work is completed, and then the initial
set printing number will be displayed.

◆ Notes：
＊ Press “stop” key if you need stop printing when the printing number is not
completed,Press start key when you need restart printing.
＊ If the machine has not been used for a long time,the ink become dry and the printing
quality may decline, the image become lighter.In this case, print more until the image is
back to normal level.
＊ The initial print might might be lighter, then please touch <print> or press【print 】key to
print more;
＊ After printing, touch<reset>or press【reset】key, the printing set will be cleared and the
machine returns to initial state.

Chapter3. Printing Mode

This Chapter will show you how to use all kinds of printing functions to get a better print.

Original Mode
 Two-in-one Mode
Under this mode, 2 sheets of original can be plated into one sheet master.

3. Original Placement
Place the original on the scanning glass vertically.

You can place two originals side by side simultaneously or one by one.

4.Touch<Master making>or press【Master making】Key to enter master making process.
After master making, the screen will show “Replace the original or press „master
making ‟Key”.

5. If you choose to put original separately ,the machine will start master making and
printing automatically when you place another original;
With two original together, the machine will start master making and printing when you
touch “Master Making” or press “Master Making” Key.

 Notes：
＊ Please select “2-in-1” Mode before master making;
＊ If the 2 original size equals to print paper size ,please choose the corresponding Zoom
Ratio;
＊ Only standard size paper is ensured the correct printout, you may not get the
right output except the standard paper size.
＊ A3 and B4 size original can not print in “2-in-1” Mode.

  ■Book Mode
Under book mode, the book shadow or the shadow of folded original can be erased
automatically.

1. Touch <Mode>to enter “Original Mode” interface;

2. Touch to select <Book>, LCD screen is back to basic screen;

3.Touch to set <Shadow width> and press【Numeral】Key to set width, touch<Ok> back to
the basic screen.

◆ Notes：
＊ Please select “Book Mode”before master making;
＊ The shadow width is between 6mm-70mm，the default value is“26”；
＊ Press【Set】Key to set the screen.

Original Processing Mode
Select proper original processing mode according to the original type(Text,or photo or both
mixed)
【Text Mode】Select this mode when the Original is in text(no photo),for example, when
the original is text file.
【Photo Mode】 Select this mode when the original is in photo(no character),for example
when the original is picture.
【Text>Photo】 Select this mode when the original is in character and photo, and has
more text .
【Photo>Text】Select this mode when the original is in text and photo, and has more
photo.
【Newspaper】Select this mode when the original has dark back base color .For example,
when the original is newspaper.
【Screen】Use this mode can print more clear photo (Equal Lpi=75)
1. Touch to select <Photo> mode, the LCD screen displays photo interface;

Touch selected photo mode, the LCD screen updates.

◆ Notes：

＊ For a better printing please select the proper original mode;
＊ Press【Reset】Key or touch<Reset> return to standard set states.

Enlargement and Reduction

To set enlargement and reduction according to the sizes required.
The following table shows the standard zoom ratio of original and the printing paper.

Machine can be adjusted by 1% increment from 50%to 200%.

1．Touch<Zoom Ratio> to enter zoom ratio interface.

2. Touch or 来选择所 to select needed Zoom Ratio.

3.Touch <Ok> to update zoom ratio.

 Automatic Zoom
Choose proper Zoom Ratio according to paper and Original size.
1.Touch <Original Size> or <Copy Size> to enter original size and copy size interface;

2.Touch to select the prober size for Original and copy.

3. Touch <Ok> return to basic screen ,original size and copy size is updated.

◆ Notes:
＊ When choose automatic zoom ,the “Zoom Ratio” will be adjusted to the proper rate
automatically .For example, choose A3 size for the original and A4 size for the copy,
the Zoom Ratio will be 71% automatically.
＊ Press【Reset】Key or touch <reset>，back to original setting state.

Printing Density Adjusting
 Master-making Density Adjusting
Adjust printing density by the depth the print head laser drilling the master.
5 steps for master-make density, dark, darker, normal, lighter, light ,which are indicated by
5 density light.
1. Touch <Master-making Density> to enter master-making interface;

2. Touch the selected density, master-making density is updated;

◆ Notes:
＊ Please set master-making density before master making.

 Scanning Density Adjusting
5 steps for scanning density, darkest, darker, normal, lighter, lightest,
1. Touch <Scan density> to enter scan density adjusting interface;

2. Touch to select the scan density, the scanning density is updated and meanwhile the
density light is changing accordingly

You can also adjust the scan density from operation panel.

＊ Please set scan density before master making.

Printing Density Adjusting
Adjust the printing density by increasing or decreasing the pressure of the pressure roller.
You can adjust the printing density by both Automatic adjusting and manual adjusting.
1. Automatic adjusting
Adjust printing density by printing speed.
The faster the speed is, the greater the printing pressure will be and the density will be
darker.
1) Touch <Auto density adjusting> on the set interface , and then select <Yes> and
touch <Ok>.

2.Manual Adjusting
You can adjust printing density separately,5levels for printing density adjustment
1) Touch <No> in the <auto density adjusting> interface;

2) Touch<Printing Density>， or to select density and touch
<Ok> .

 Background Gray Adjusting
Adjust the density of the original background gray darkness of the original.
Back base density increas from 1 to 10 stalls, density turns darker.
Touch to set<Back base density> or to select density and
touch <Ok>.

Printing position Adjusting
There are two methods to adjust print image position.
Adjustment range：Front and back(Vertical)：±10mm；Right and left(Horizontal)：±10mm.
【Front and back】
Use 【Space position】Key or touch <Space position> on the screen.
【Right and left】
Use paper feed knob
■ Front and back
Touch <Space position>on the screen, select or . The space
position indicator light is changing correspondingly.

You can also adjust space position from Operation Panel.

◆ Notes：
＊ Each time you press the button,the image position will move 0.5mm.

＊ You can use【-0-】Key on the operation panel to back to standard mode.

 Right and left

1.press“Micro switch”to separate the papel feed roller from the print paper;

2.Turn the paper feed knob，the printing image will move right and left accordingly.

◆ Notes：
＊ After adjustment, print one sheet for testing.
＊ When the machine is adjusted and confirmed, please do not adjust the print position
arbitrarily; If there is malfunction in the printing process, you can press【Stop】Key to
stop printing.

Printing Speed Adjustment
There are 5 levels of printing speed, from 45 ppm, to 130 ppm. You can adjust the speed

Group Function
Machine can print automatically based on the number of each group pre-assigned, do not
need to re-enter the number.
One single original can be printed to multi-groups and each group contains several
sets .The max group number is10, max 99 sets for 10 groups and max 999 sheets for
each set.

1.Enter Group printing screen,touch theframe press 【Numeral】Key to set printing number
and touch<OK> back to basic screen.

“R”represents the set number,“G”represents the group number . When one group or one
set is finished, the number shows in the following figure will be changed. For example “1R
2G”represents the machine is printing group 2 set 1.

Power Save Function
Minutes idle after printing,the machine will enter sleep mode or auto power off mode for
power saving.
■ Sleep Mode
The machine will enter sleep mode in a certain time after printing stops by setting the
power saving time and all indicators are off. Under this mode ,it can be used for printing
from a computer.
1.Touch the power saving time on the set screen,input the time you need from the numeric
button,then touch the confirm button to go back to the basic screen

2.The machine enters sleep mode in a set time after operation,the sleep indicator will be
lit;Press awakening button,then the sleep indicator will be off and the sleep mode ends.

◆ Note：
＊The power saving time can be set from 1 to 60 minutes.

■ Auto power off mode
The machine will be turned off in set time by setting auto power off.
You need to turn on the machine for operation after it is turned off automatically.
1.Touch the auto power off time on the set screen,input the time from the numeric
button,then touch [OK] button to go back to the basic screen

2.Press the auto power off button,then the auto power off button indicator will turn on and
the machine enter auto power off mode

◆Note：
＊If you are using the machine after you set the auto power off mode,it doesn‟t turn off.
＊The auto power off time can be set from 1 to 60 minutes.；
＊Auto power off time and power saving can be set synchronously .If power saving time is
shorter than auto power off time,the machine will enter sleep mode first and then turn
off.If aotu power off time is shorter than power saving time,the machine will enter auto
power off mode directly.

Confidential Function

The master is still on the drum for continue printing after the last printing is
finished.Confidential function can prevent someone else to print your confidential
documents after your printing.
1.Confirm the printing is finished；
2.Touch the <confidential><start> on the set screen；

3.It will display as follow on the screen.Touch <confirm>，the master will be abandoned.

Password Protection
The authority of using the machine will be controlled by setting a password.

Windows7.

Make Master From USB Disk

Plug USB Disk to the USB interface,and then the machine can print the file in the USB
Disk directly.
1.Transform the file in the computer to PRN format and then save into USB disk. (Please
refer to《The Instruction Of Transforming PC Files to PRN Format》)；
2.Plug the USB disk to the USB interface of the machine；

2.Touch ”U Disk” and it will be on USB disk screen.It will display all the document in USB
disk.
3.Touch or to select the file you need；

4.Touch<OK>，the machine will start to make master.

The Instruction Of Transforming PC Files To PRN Format

The files must be PRN format when you use USB disk master making function.
1.Install the driver of RDprinter1.1 (Please refer to《The Instruction Of Driver Installation
Of RDprinter1.1》)；
2.Plug the USB cable into the digital duplicator and the computer,then turn on the
duplicator；

Online Printing
Online printing can be used for all PC in the LAN
1.Set IP address for the network printer
1) Connect the network cables to the duplicator and the LAN switch,turn on the duplicator
and then open the network monitor on the computer which connect with this LAN.It will
appear as follow:

2) Click“Search”，the list of digital duplicator in this LAN appear in the “digital duplicator”
list.Choose the duplicator and then the details will be appeared as follow:

3) Input IP address and subnet mask under <printer set>（IP address must be suitable for
LAN.If the switch or road travel device have DHCP function,the machine will gain an
usable IP address on the first startup.）.Click <confirm> after inputing and the setting is

2.Install network printer
1) Open the control board in the computer,and then open ”printer and electrograph”,click
“Add Printer”，add the network printer as follow；

Chapter Four.Consumables Replacement

This Chapter describes how to replenish and replace the consumables.

Ink Replacement
Screen displays “Ink Over” when the ink is used out.Please replace ink as follows；
1.Open the front cover；

2.Press down the drum lock switch；

3.Take out the empty ink cartridges；

4.Open the new ink cover,insert the groove of the ink nozzle to the “U” mouth on the drum:

 The right and wrong placement:Please see the below pictures.

Notices:
1.Please don‟t expose the ink in the air for a long time to avoid the air going into the case
and make the machine doesn‟t suck the ink out.
2.Please keep the ink vertically when you open it to avoid the ink spill.

5.Support and push in the ink holder,and lock it tightly.(The air is not allowed to leak into
the ink pump,otherwise the ink can not be pumped well)

6.Close the front cover

◆Notes：
＊After replacing the ink,the machine start to race to pump the ink to the drum and when
the drum get sufficient ink,it stops.
Notice
1.Error may occur if the fake ink is used.
2.Please put the ink in the place where children can‟t touch.
3.Please stock the ink in dry and shady place.Don‟t stock it under sunshine or hot place.
4.Please take care when you are replacing ink to avoid dirty your clothes or hand
5.Please recover the ink box when you dispose the used ink box to avoid ink spilling.

Master Replacement
When the screen displays ”Master Load Failure” or “Master Over”,you need to replace
master.
1.Press down the scan lock lever and push the scan flat；

2.Press down thermal head releasing lever to “Open” position；

Notice：Don‟t touch the thermal print head,otherwise it will be scratch and affect the

quality of plated master.

3.Take out the used master roll core and the master brackets.Install the new master roll
onto the master brackets；

◆Notes：＊ You need to replace the master even if there is remaining master.
3.Install the new master roll onto the master basket seat；

Notice：The smooth face of the master should be put downwards

5.Send the master to the cutter；

Method 1:Extend the head of the master between the printing roller and thermal
printhead,lift down thermal head releasing lever to “Close”.

Method 2:Extend the head of the master between the printing roller and thermal
printhead,make the master head 5-10mm pass the cutter and then level the master.Lift
down thermal head releasing lever to “Close”,press cutter micro switch,take out the
wasted master piece under cutter

Method 3：Lift downthermal print head releasing lever to “close”.Send the master between

the printing roller and thermal print head by left hand.At the same time press cutter micro
switch by right hand and the master will go ahead.Lift down thermal head releasing lever
to “Open” by right hand when the head of the master is 5-10mm ahead of the
cutter.Straighten the master by left hand.

Warning:Cutting blade moves forward and back to initial position as a complete

cutting process.Please don‟t take the waste master piece by hand cutting. Paper cutter
is dangerous,please take care!
◆Note：
＊Reverse the master roll core to straining the loosen master.
6.Close the scanning flat.

Clear Disposal Master

The used master is sent to the disposal box.If the box is full,the screen display ”Disposal
box full”.
1.Press the master disposal box switch,open the disposal master box up to max；

3.Grasp both ends of roll core to take it out and remove the disposal master from roll core；

◆ Notes：
＊There is ink on the roll core,please take care of your clothing

Chapter Five.Maintenance

Please clear or replace the following parts periodically in order to make the machine have
good printing quality and longer life.

＊ Please take care and avoid hard object strike or scrape the scanning glass flat
＊ Please use soft cloth or bumf to wipe it.

1.Please cut off the power before cleaning,otherwise it will be lead to fire or short circuit.
2.Please don‟t make the water or the cleanser go into the machine.If the water or the
cleanser goes into the machine,please contact the dealer right away.
◆ Note：
＊ Please use sofe cloth,water and neutral solvent to clear the dust.Don‟t use
alcohol,organic solvent,otherwise it will damage the coverl.

Replecement
 Replace paper feed rollers
In the first paper feed section,the pressure between the paper rollers and the separator
transports the paper to second feed part,Therefore,after a number of sheets pass,the feed
rollers will be worn so it needs to be replaced；
1.Press the elevator‟s micro switch and the paper feed tray descends.Remove the bolt on
the connect knot on the right end of the paper rollers‟ shaft；

2.Move the paper rollers‟ shaft until the paper roller can be removed；

3.First remove the side rollers;take off the screw on the main roller and then remove the

main roller.Replace with new feed rollers and fix the screw；

4.Connect the paper roller shaft and the connecting bolt.Make sure to fix screws.

 Replace Friction Pad
The paper sheets are separated by the pressure produced by the friction pad against the
paper roller.The friction pad will be worn after a number of sheets fed,and it need to be
replaced.
1.Press the elevator‟s micro switch and the paper feed tray descends.Remove the bolt on
the connect knot on the right end of the paper rollers‟ shaft

2.Move the paper rollers and the shaft,take out the old friction pad install a new one；
3.The clearance between the paper separation base unit and the paper feed support plate
can be adjusted by the adjusting bolt.；
Adjustment standard.Make no clearance between the base unit and support plate,but the
support plate can be taken out from the base unit or taken into it by hand easily；

4.Connect the paper roller shaft to the connecting bolt.Make sure to fix the screw

 Replace the paper switch

Paper switch controls the up-down movement of print roller,It is pushed open by the paper
head.It shall be worn after a number of paper printed and needs to be replaced:
1.Take out the drum,open the disposal box and the white paper switch is showed；

2.Disassemble the bolt on the paper switch and remove the paper switch；

3.Install the new paper switch,keep two ends of switch to be parallel to the paper plate
below；
4.Close disposal box and place the drum back

 Replace the soft screen

1.Place drum steadily on the desktop or floor；

2.Remove the soft screen assembly(including the screen frame)；

3.Remove upper and lower frames of soft screen,insert new screen；

4.Install new screen in reverse of the steps of above.

◆Notes：
＊ The installed soft screen must be leveled off and tightened；
＊ Please take care of your clothing and hand because there may be some ink on the
screen.
