ABSTRACT

Weather station keep an eye on climate condition right where they sit i.e for hyperlocal
weather and climate updates. They are also bristling with sensors that can track local
temperature and humidity. Our project uses DTH11 sensor to detect external temperature and
actuators.

COMPONENTS USED

1. NodeMCU 1.0 :

NodeMCU is an open source IoT platform. It includes firmware which runs on the ESP8266
Wi-Fi SoC from Espressif Systems, and hardware which is based on the ESP-12 module. The
term "NodeMCU" by default refers to the firmware rather than the development kits.

2. LED(Light Emmiting Diode):

A light-emitting diode (LED) is a device that emits light when an electric current passes
through it. LEDs first appeared in 1962 as practical electronic components that only emitted
low intensity red light. Modern versions can be very bright and are available in a broad
spectrum of colors in the visible and even in the ultraviolet and infrared spectrums. They are
mainly used in various electronic devices like watches, flashlights, cellphones, displays and
many more.

3. DHT11 Sensor:

The DHT11 is a commonly used Temperature and humidity sensor. The sensor comes with a
dedicated NTC to measure temperature and an 8-bit microcontroller to output the values of
temperature and humidity as serial data. The sensor is also factory calibrated and hence easy
to interface with other microcontrollers.

4. LDR(Light Dependent Register):

A photoresistor is a light-controlled variable resistor. The resistance of a photoresistor

decreases with increasing incident light intensity; in other words, it exhibits
photoconductivity. A photoresistor can be applied in light-sensitive detector circuits, and
light-activated and dark-activated switching circuits.

5. Two Channel Relay: A relay is defined as an electrically operated switch; their main use is
controlling circuits by a low-power signal or when several circuits must be controlled by one
signal. The first relay was used in long distance telegraph circuits as amplifiers, basically they
repeated the signal they received from one circuit, and transmitted it into a different one, they
were also used in early computers to perform logical operations.

6. Breadboard:

A breadboard is a solderless device for temporary prototype with electronics and test circuit
designs. Most electronic components in electronic circuits can be interconnected by inserting
their leads or terminals into the holes and then making connections through wires where
appropriate.

CONCLUSION:

 The IOT uses a variety of information sensing identification device and information
processing equipment , such as RFID, WNS, GPRS, etc., combining with internet to
form an extensive network in order to informationize and intelligentize the entities or
objects.
 This paper analyzes the applications and challenges of RFID technology, which is the
important and foundational component of IOT.
