The estimated 2.5 million tons of
rice hull in the Philippines that are
either dumped or burned prompted the
researchers to create an odor
suppressant to lessen agricultural
wastes. This study determined the
feasibility of producing odor
suppressant from carbonized rice hull
for profitability and market distinction.
With an assurance of safety and
quality, Ipas Manufacturing Company
would sell the product in Calamba and
Cabuyao since based on the results of
the survey, there is a high demand for
odor suppressants in the two target
areas.
The plant would be located in
Calamba City Laguna for proximity and
accessibility to the suppliers of
materials and the target market. Utilities
like electricity, water, and
communication are also accessible.
With the capital investment of Php

share, the business projected a
payback period of 2.05 years and an

The fiber paper is an
environment-friendly product produced
in a variety of colors for designing
purposes. This study intended to
determine the effectiveness of
producing fiber paper from corn husks
and used paper to reduce the need to
cut down more trees for paper
production and to promote a hand-
made and environment-friendly
product. Found in Brgy. Paciano, San
Antonio Village, Calamba City Laguna,
JRM Manufacturing Company would
launch the quality fiber paper to the
students and residents of Calamba
City. Raw materials could be easily
delivered since the plant was
accessible.

Adopting partnership as the
company’s business structure, the
proponents agreed to contribute Php
312,390.00 to raise Php 937,170, the
amount needed for the first year of
operation. This would include the
acquisition of property and equipment,

provide jobs to help reduce the

The disposal and management
of fly ash is a major problem in coal-
fired thermal power plants since its
emission from a variety of coal
combustion units shows a wide range
of composition. This environmental
concern became a significant factor in
using fly ash as a substitute ingredient
to the usual calcite in paint production.
Fly ash shows increased resistance to
corrosion, abrasion, and chemical and
organic solvents compared to the

existing paint composition. Thus, this
study determined the feasibility of
producing and marketing paint products
with fly ash for greener environment.
Promising superior quality at a low
price, RRP Royal Paints Manufacturing
Inc. would offer armour paint with fly
ash to the residents in the selected
cities of Laguna where there is a
significant demand for the product.
Marketing study showed a high
potential for profitability of the business
venture.
This partnership type of
business needed a capital of Php
9,187,062.00 including the fixed assets,
working capital, and the 10%
contingency. The payback period
would be 2.06 years and the average
return on investment would be 87.56%
every year. It would provide jobs that
would lessen the unemployment rate of
Calamba City by 0.027% and 0.001%
for national unemployment. With the
taxes that would come from the
business, the local government could
initiate more plans for developing the
community. Armour Paint would
implement proper waste disposal by
having a solid waste management
facility and wastewater treatment
facility.
