Success as a businessman, Johnny G. Plate plunged into the
political stage. He passed to Senayan and became Secretary
General of the Nasdem Party.

Johnny G. Plate is known as a politician from the Nasdem Party.

He managed to sit in the 2014-2019 Senayan period from the
electoral district of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

The man who is familiarly called Johnny was born in Ruteng

Manggarai, Flores on September 10, 1956. Before being active in
the political sphere, he was a businessman.

He started his business in the early 1980s in the field of plantation

equipment. At that time, there were widespread plantations in
Kalimantan and Papua.

Successful in agricultural equipment, this graduate of Atma Jaya

Catholic University and his colleagues expanded their business
into the world of aviation transportation. He was part of the Air
Asia business.

Successful as a businessman, the former activist of the Catholic

Student Association of the Republic of Indonesia (PMKRI) was
then attracted to the political stage.

His political stance was marked when he joined the Indonesian

Democratic Unity Party (PKDI). He was trusted as Chairman of
the PKDI Court until 2013. After that, Johnny moved to the
Nasdem Party.

In the 2014 election, Maria Ana's husband passed to Senayan.

He sat on Commission XI in charge of finance, national
development planning, banking, and non-bank financial
institutions in the Indonesian Parliament for the 2014-2019 period.

Not only that, the father of three children also gained the trust as
Chairman of the XI Faction Group (Kapoksi), members of the
Budget Agency, and members of the DPR RI Consultative Body,
to the Chairman of the Department of Energy, Natural Resources
and the Environment DPP Nasdem.

His career at Nasdem was uphill. In 2017, he was appointed by

the General Chairman of the Nasdem Party Surya Paloh to
become the new Secretary General replacing the old one to
