Another theft of copper from a local wind farm on the

Ballan-Meredith Road was reported to police on Wednesday
20 November.
Gordon’s Senior Constable Luke Nolan said they were
unsure exactly what date the theft occurred but believed to
be early November.
“It is unknown how many people were involved but they
knew exactly how to access and cut the copper,” he said.
In total, including lost work hours, SC Nolan told the
Moorabool News approximately $90,000 damage occurred.
“Crime Scene Officers attended for forensic value and CIU
will investigate,” he said.

A caravan was stolen from a Mt Egerton property at 10am on


Monday 18 November.
Valued at $80,000 the 2019 Jayco, 21’ caravan, was white in
colour and Registration is Z18473. The van was stolen from a
Ballan-Egerton Road property.

Users of the Gordon Football/Netball club will be having


cold showers after the theft of a hot water service from the
club rooms. A cage protecting the unit was also damaged.
The theft is believed to have occurred earlier this month.

On Saturday 16 November, Gordon police detected a motor


vehicle travelling west on the Western Freeway at Gordon,
at 156kph. Police intercepted the driver who received a
substantial fine and loss of licence.
