Topic: An art exhibit/museum/art gallery in my city.

Dear Students,

In unit 10, you will make a video about an art exhibit/museum/art gallery in your city.

Here the steps to complete the assignment:


Step 1:
a. Do exercises from Practice Resources - Unit 10 on Blackboard.
b. Read “Talking idioms” in Community on English Discoveries. Choose one idiomatic
expression (basic level) you want to use:

Museo de Arte de Lima.
MALI is open from Monday to Sunday, from 10 in the morning to 10 at night. Here you can find
exhibits, collections, a restoration workshop, a library and a shop. Here, look at these paintings
from the Pre-columbian period.

 Use youtube.com to make the video. Test your video works well before sending the link.
Change video privacy setting to “Public” so your teacher can view it.
 You can also use any other software to make your video.
 You have to paste the link of your video and the script (the script is referential) in the
Assignment section (Actividad in Unit 10) on Blackboard.

Hello, my name is Kliver.

They want to know more about San Juan de Lurigancho, for example the name of San Juan de
Lurigancho. It has two origins. The first on the one hand Hispanic SAN JUAN and on the other
hand the Quechua word RURICANCHO which means those who worship the Kanchu bird.

Well, today I will tell you about some exhibitions of the Ruricancho Museum located in Club
Zonal Huiracocha of San Juan de Lurigancho

Let's start with this model represents the map of San Juan de Lurigancho that includes
Jicamarca. As can be seen, it is a gorge of a prehistoric river that originated 10,000 years ago,
whose waters flowed into the Rimac river. In other words, we live in the prehistoric dry
riverbed.

You will also find the petroglyph replica of Cerro Cantería, the rescued archeological remains,
also the map of the SJL archeological sites.

RURICANCHO is open from Monday to Sunday from 9 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon.

The admission price is 4 SOLES and children under 4 enter free.
