Independent Contractor/Field Analyst

Valdosta, Ga

While attending Valdosta State University I participated in an undergraduate research study funded
by a state grant. Due to the quality of work that I exhibited during the project I was chosen to be
brought on as a private contractor on the project and receive compensation for the work I
completed. For the research, I obtained field samples from local streams and rivers and analyzed the
samples in the laboratory. I also presented our findings at the Association of Southeastern Biologists
conference and the Valdosta State University undergraduate research symposium.

South Georgia College

Douglas, Ga

While attending South Georgia College I obtained a position announcing baseball games. My
ability to articulate well and relate to others were traits that helped me acquire the position. These
are skills that are carried over to a profession in education. It is important be able to relate to
students, parents, and coworkers.

Journalist for the newspaper

Douglas, Ga

While announcing for the South Georgia Tigers I also wrote columns for the local newspaper. I was
involved with multiple aspects of the team at this time. This allowed me to improve my writing
skills and showcase my knowledge in the area of baseball. When I make a commitment, I pursue it
with determination and go above and beyond what is expected.
