“Frog’s Lunch”

One day a frog sat on a lily pad, still as a rock

A fish swam by.

“Hello, Mr. Frog! What are you waiting for?”

“I’m waiting for my lunch”, said the frog.

“oh, good luck!, said the fish and swam away.

Then, a duck waddled by.

“Hello Mr. Frog! What are you waiting for?”

“I am waiting for my lunch” said the frog.

“Oh, good luck!” said the duck and waddled away.

Then a bug came buzzing by.

“Hello Mr. Frog! What are you doing? “asked the bug.

“I’m having my lunch! Slurp! Said the frog.

Mr. Frog smiled.

Gamified Reading:

Procedure:

1. Using flashcards, the teacher will be presenting words, phrases and sentences before each
game round. Example: round 1 is words, thus before round 1 the teacher will be letting the learners
to read it first and give corrections.

2. After that, the teacher will be putting punctuation beside the word and the learners will be
reading the words with correspondence to the punctuation.
3. After familiarizing the use of punctuations, the teacher will be dividing the class into groups.
At least 5 members per group, and at least two groups.

4. The teacher will be having two separate boxes of flashcards for (first round) words, phrases
(second round) and sentences (third round) and the other box will be punctuations.

5. Each group will first form one line. Distance must be observed from the learners towards
the boxes.

6. One at a time each learner will be running towards the boxes and will pick one flashcard
from the two boxes.

7. They will be reading it with the corresponding punctuation.

8. The learners must read it properly before the next player will be taking over.

9. Each group will be having 3 helps from all 3 rounds from the other groupmates and the
group who will not use their 3 helps for each round they will be added 3 helps again for the other
rounds.

10. scores and points will be posted on the blackboard.

Class A Reinforcer: Only Positive reinforcer: The winner in every round will be receiving plus points
from their score and the overall winner will be receiving plus points and secret gift.

Class B Reinforcer: Only Negative Reinforcer: The winning group will be exempted from the next
assignment.

Class C Reinforcer: Combined Reinforcer (Positive and Negative): The winner in every round will be
receiving plus points from their score and the overall winner will be receiving plus points and
secret gift. The winners will also be exempted from the next assignment.

Gamified Reading and Spelling:

Pretest:

Reading: The learners will be given words. They will be reading it first individually. The teacher will
be taking notes of the mispronounced words. Their reading score will be the words they
pronounced properly.

Spelling: The teacher will be giving words to the learners for spelling quiz. The teacher will be
taking notes of the misspelled words, individually. The final score will be the correct spellings.

Gamified activity:

1. The teacher will be dividing all learners per pair.

2. Each group will be having box of words in flashcards.

3. Each pair will be going in the black board.

4. One in the pair will be picking words from the box and will be writing letter per letter at the
back of the other one.
5. The other one in the pair facing the blackboard will be writing letter per letter and follow
the sequence in writing until it forms the word. Both pairs will be spelling and reading the written
word.

6. They will be doing this until they all finish the words in flashcards.

7. They will also be doing each roles interchangeably, word after word.

8. This will be done in three rounds: round 1: easy (3 letter word) round 2: moderate(4 letter
word) round 3: difficult (5 letter word)

9. Right after the round they each pair will be having the spelling quiz of the activity.

10. For the top 3 winning pairs they be having the quiz in pair. But all losing pairs will be doing
the quiz individually.
