(a) Basic GIS Data type
It has two type of data
1. Spatial data: It shows absolute and relative locations of geographic
feature.
2. Attribute data: This type of data can be qualitative and quantitative.
They are mostly in tabular format.

(B) ​Feature class: collection of point, lines and polygon.

Feature dataset: collection of feature classes (e.g. transportation contains


roads, railroads, airports) organized into a group all of which share a
common coordinate system.

- Raster data captured by camera and vector data captured by
drawing.
- Raster uses grid each grid has specific feature and vector data uses
line, point, polygon.

A vector data is represented by point, lines, polygon. I has discrete
boundaries. Which helps to country borders, country polygon..

(E) ​Latitude: lines of latitude north-south position between the poles.


Equator is defined at 0 degree. Also north and south poles are defined at
90 degree with respect to Equator.

Longitude: lines of longitude east-west position between the poles. The


prime meridian is defined at 0 degree. And both poles east and west are
defined ai 90 degree respect to meridian.
