ox gas and/or electric welding procedures), balancing &
aligning procedures for machinery and plant, repair and
pressure - test procedures for a wide range of steel & iron
valves.

estimated costs and deadlines throughout the various
engineering phases of the project.

o Offer Analyzing Phase:


- Co-ordinate and draw up the technical proposal.
- Examine the document defining the scope of work
and other technical data.
- Draw up in writing the engineering requirements
that must be communicated to other functions including the
preliminary specifications for elements to be constructed or
purchased.

o Design Phase:
- Draw up definitions and detailed specifications of
tasks and sub-tasks or supervise their drafting by junior
installation engineers. Negotiate with the Functional Project
Leaders and/or the Head of Maintenance Division about
available resources, the main milestones and assessment
criteria for individual tasks.

- Assign the various tasks and sub-tasks in


collaboration with the Installation Leader and Function Leaders
for the relative engineering area.
Authorize the start of works in accordance with
commitments and on the basis of cost forecasts and the
schedule for the various phases, subject to approval by the
Project Manager.

- Draw up integration programs for


hardware and acceptance testing systems or supervise their
drafting by junior installation engineers. Examine the testing
program with the corresponding Quality Assurance unit and
specify which other units must take part.

- Compile and update records of engineering


expenditure and significant milestones and regularly review

them to ensure the necessary levels of performance (using
PRIMAVERA and MAXIMO softwares).

- Assist the Project Manager and other


Function Leaders (Installation Leader) in the assessment and
formulation of alternative
programs, in the event of delays or modification requests by
the Client.

- Define the materials or services to be


purchased for engineering tasks within the allocated resource
budget, in conjunction with the Installation Leader.

- Identify technical problems and make the


necessary technical decisions within the limitations imposed by
contractual requirements. Cost and scheduling decisions which
influence contractual obligations or other functions must be
approved by the Installation Leader and communicated to the
Project Manager and/or the Head of Maintenance Division .

- Approve all the technical designs


necessary for the purchase and/or construction of products to
be supplied to the Client.

 Good computer skills (Windows, MS Office, AutoCAD)
 Drivers license (since September 1990 – clear)
 Administrative and logistical skills
 Working under the total compliance with the procedures of
ISO 9001/2000 in a Germanischer Lloyd’s certified company since
2001
 Ability in use of all communications equipments (cell phones,
VHF radios)
