EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Environ Solutions is a company that offers Solid Waste

Management solutions. It is a company that usually
deals with environmental cleanness and solid waste
management services which was established in the
year 2015.
It now has 3 plants (Motihari, Kalimpong and
Kamakhaya) and 2 plants are in process.
It was established in 2015 but it started performing
after 2016 with the help of SWACHH BHARAT mission. I
was in search of internship when I met; Mr Subir
Kumar Sen and he offered me to work with them in
their company.
Objectives behind working with ENVIRON SOLUTIONS:
- Knowing about concept of Environmental
management of the company.
- Understanding customer approach towards
environmental services.
- Learning about Solid Waste Management Method
and the way services are provided.

INTRODUCTION
Environ solutions are the first company in
Eastern India which deals with the solid waste
management services and even help the
government by providing solid waste
management solutions. It was established to
approach SWACHH BHARAT mission and
deliver the vision of clean India. The main
work that helped Environ Solutions to boom
up was a product that helped solid waste
converts into crude oil and compost. After
this the first plant was inaugurated Kalimpong
and then so on. Besides that it helps the
Government to establish plants through
providing them machinery and labour and
even opt for tenders provided by government
for providing services. Environ solutions now
is approaching for more and more tenders
and plants for their expansion.

The ENVIRON SOLUTIONS also deals with:

- Manufacturing for Solid Waste Products: At
present after analysing the problem of importing
the Solid Waste Product from China, now the
company has dedicated to manufacture their own
Solid Waste Products soon.
- Opting for more Government tenders: opting for
government tenders is usually tough but after
getting the tender its very beneficial for company
growth so, now company is trying for getting as
much tenders it can get in Easter India.
- Indian Railway: The biggest transportation
network for India, the company are also trying to
contact with railway and helps them with Solid
Waste Management solutions .As railway is one of
the most effected sectors by waste.
- Electronics Canteen: Yet to start but providing
electronics at an affordable rate to the customers.
This concept is grabbed from army canteens so,
why not provide normal people with discounted
rates.

ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE AND DETAIL

ENVIRON SOLUTIONS is a company that deals with

Waste Management .And it has adopted the
incineration process that is due to convert waste into
oil, tar, compost and other materials.
They have opened 3 plants and 5 tenders and also are
working on getting more 2 plants and more tenders.
The main three plants are in three states covering
Assam, West Bengal and Bihar and they are focusing on
expanding in these states first.
They provide services for waste management.

COMPANY ANALYSIS

Since the company started as a start-up and a medium

growing company with 3 plants and placed in eastern
India, the company has placed a lot of challenges.
Dealing with the government and quoting a tender. So
with the SWOT analysis being done and implemented
into the best practices the company started to work in
a better way. The company faced a lot of challenges
just like any other company like dealing with
government, acceptance of environmental
development and waste management approach by
society.
When the workers started to work efficiently and when
things were looked after in the better way, the
company started to gain profits. The company as of
now has been successful and is planning to expanding
plants in three states.

SWOT analysis is a tool for auditing an organization and

its environment. It is the first stage of planning and
helps marketers to focus on key issues. SWOT stands
for strength, weakness, opportunities and threats.
Strengths and weaknesses are internal factors.
Opportunities and threats are external factors.

MISSION
The main mission is to clean the whole waste that is
produced and also provide precautions for it that can
be taken more and more waste reduction.

While food and organic material, including food scraps,

culled inventory, and manufacturing materials, are
natural by-products of everyday life, 60 million tons of
food is wasted in the India alone, with food and
organics making up 30% of our waste stream. If not
handled carefully, these leftovers can add billions of
tons of greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere
and carry a price tag of over $160 million per year.
As Eastern India’s largest environmental services
provider, Waste Management has the reach and
capability to take care of these sensitive resources in a
way that positively impacts the planet while paying
careful attention to your needs and budget.
In 2013, 160 million truck load of waste was unloaded
and now it has covered so many lands which could be
used by the people of India but is used for dumping
waste and till date there is no cure for this.
The first time people started thinking about clean India
was after SWACHH BHARAT mission and it helped the
people to understand the vision for clean India.

For Residential Services, Contact Us to review your
service schedule. Please have your container out by 6
a.m. at your regular pickup location, such as the curb
or alleyway, and please ensure that the container is
outside any fences or gates. For alley service, please

mark your street address in the alley or on your

containers for identification by our drivers. Additional
charges may apply for any additional container that is
above your specific service level. To verify your service
level.
Container Safety
to prevent injury to our drivers, please ensure that all
non-Waste Management containers are no larger than
121 litres and weigh no more than kilograms when full.
Do not use 208 litre drums, paper sacks or boxes as
trash containers. To reduce odors and prevent litter,
please bag all trash items. If you have a separate
container for recycling, please do not bag recyclables in
plastic bags but place them loosely in the container.
This will improve the sorting of recyclables at the
processing facility.
Yard Waste
Cut branches into four-foot lengths or less and tie
them in bundles no more than 12 inches in diameter.
Leaves and grass clippings should be bagged, tied
securely and placed with other items for outside
pickup. There may be additional charges for the
collection of yard waste in some service areas.

materials in a container, it can harm the environment,
injure workers and result in additional charges to your
account.
Doing just these three things will make a huge
difference:

● Keep plastic bags out of your recycling

Since our employees begin pickup services early in the

day, please place your container out by 5 a.m. on your
service day or the night before. Please also keep your
container accessible, since parked vehicles or other
obstacles may prevent us from servicing your
container. Waste Management can refuse to pick up
containers containing unacceptable recyclable
materials, and you may incur a contamination charge.

FINDINGS AND SUGGESTIONS

Findings:

● Environ Solutions have a great approach towards

society and environmental development.
● It has better quotation and deals with better
control over plants.
● It has a greater acceptance then the other sector
in the business as its environmental
● The customers are very satisfied by the quotation
provided for the tender and the service provided
by the labour.

Suggestions:

● To expand through more advertisement and help

growth through more technique that is evolving.
● The labours should be more professional out there
knowing every product skills and information
about what every product means and which one
should be used for which kind of waste.

CONCLUSION AND RESULTS

The firm is doing really well. Working with them was a

great experience. Around 100-150 people are working
right now with them. It’s a growing company.
Since all business companies have backdrops, few
backdrops of this company are:
● Dealing with government has some drawback like
the payment sanctions to the labourers working in
the plant get delayed by the authorities
(Municipality).
● Government opens the tender and through the
quotations received they select the best one so,
even this is a problem most of the time.
The company ENVIRON SOLUTIONS has a great
future. They have planned everything in a great way.
Since the company has tied up with a lot of
manufactures and even the government to know
about the upcoming demands in the sector also, they
have connected with Indian Railways for some plant
work.
The Indian Railways has published over 200+ tender
in the NER (North East Railway) and they have
quoted around 8 tender under them. From which we

have received 2 new tenders from (KHAMAKHYA

AND BARBIGHA).
After working on the waste management product
they are willing to enter into waste management
precautions through publishing booklet through
contacting to the newspaper from Assam, Bihar and
West Bengal.
The marketing department is working really well
with great marketing strategies to get in reach with
the government. They provide new Google ads,
advertisements in Facebook and mainly contacting
with the government authorities. Speaking about
products, the products are the machineries and the
Pay and Use or other stuff materials for which we
contact a manufacturer.
They make sure to provide best deals with the
machinery as they are the main thing to check on
after the plant is installed the officials come on
checking after it’s approved it’s inaugurated.
The company has a good client base and regularly
serves them with best of their abilities.

The customers are regularly provided with information

relating to any significant changes in the addition of a
product.
ENVIRON SOLUTIONS is increasing in slow rate in the
sector of awareness.
It has very less competition in the sector of waste
management in the Eastern India region.
It has a greater acceptance to the government as few
companies in this region could.
The government is usually impressed with the bidding
quotation.
It has better work in process then other competitors as
rare waste management company work after receiving
the tender.

Since, I was working with the managing department I

got to know how the company faces so many
challenges and they overpower them.
I even got the chance to work with the purchase
manager and learned how goods are purchased.
GRM-goods receiving modes
To receive the correct machinery we need to recheck it
after advance payment and ordering it we visit to the

factory where the machinery is made and we wait for

the order to get imported or received. Usually the
factory sends an engineer with them who installs and
explains the labourer and supervisor how the machine
ruins.
After working with the marketing team I came to know
about the filling or applying for tenders, they keep
contact with the government officials to keep a check
on the tender date. After receiving the tender date
quotation is made along with the GST file and audit file,
affidavit is made and bidding is done after the selection
payment is to be done. The marketing team came up
with new advertisements in google ads and in maps
and other stuffs. After doing so much the best they
could do is wait as it’s a growing company is can’t
handle so many plant in the current situation so its
appoint more contacts so that there can be labourer to
work on the plants received after getting the tender.
I also looked after the tender bidding process. There
are two processes of receiving a bidding either online
or through going to the bidding place.
All the documents are attached and uploaded with the
help of digital signature in the online method.
I was even in charge of looking after business to
business (B2B).I even went on a meeting with the

asking him about the requirements for the plant.
The company is doing really well and I wish success for
them. The company has a great future with lots of
plants coming up. The company has received 3-4 offers
not only from the same city but also from the states
like Bihar and Sikkim, Assam and outside India like
Bhutan.
