Maynila have won the 3rd place of the Comguild Company’s TV
Advertisement Contest

MANILA, September 29, 2019: Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila’s mass communication

students bag 3rd place in advertisement contest in the Comguild Company’s 14th Annual
Conference of Mass Communication and Journalism Students of the Philippines themed
“Reclaiming the Future: Traditional Media vs. Digital Media”. The event was held on September
29, 2019 at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater, Ateneo de Manila University.

The TV advertisement made by Regine Mendoza, Lynette Fajardo, Tricia Alcid, Inna Carreon,
Recel Beboso and Charmaine Abando of College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences was a
one (1) minute short video. It is consisting of different students dreaming being a professional in
line to the field of mass communication and how Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila will help
them fulfill their dreams.

Started in 2006, Comguild Company’s 14th Annual Conference of Mass Communication and
Journalism Students of the Philippines is an annual convention specifically designed for mass
comunication and journalism students.

There were four speakers on the event; Zhander Cayabyab of DZMM who talked about the
strengths of Mobile Journalism; Mark Zambrano of ESPN who talked about Sports
Broadcasting; Pia Arcangel of GMA News and Public Affairs who also talked about the pros and
cons of Mobile Journalism; and Al Ian Barcelona of AIB Training and Consulting Co. who
talked about life in general.

Several actors and media personnels were recognized by students of selected member schools
with Julius Babao and Alden Richards winning the final award “Most Popular TV Personality for
News and Entertainment” respectively.
The Comguild Company is a training center in the Philippines that offers an alternative venue for
the members of the academe to develop their skills in different fields through through various
local and international seminars, conferences, workshops, and professional trainings worldwide.
