Background about Loveworks Leadership, Inc.

The beginning

In 2011 Loveworks Leadership Inc. was created to positively influence middle school

students through the creation of an afterschool program. Loveworks focuses on after school

programs because the time children spend between three and six p.m. impacts their lives in a

positive or negative, presently and in the future. The organization started from nothing and has

built into a community of more than 10,000 students. Loveworks is a non-profit organization and

leadership program that helps middle school children know their dreams are possible. The

organization aims to bring out the best in every student to help them reach their full potential.

Goals & Environment

The students at Loveworks are encouraged to develop skills of creativity and

resourcefulness to inspire their academics, leadership and character now and in the future. The

organization creates a positive environment for students ages 11 to 14 with the help of volunteers

and local professionals. Since Loveworks is a non-profit, volunteers and professionals are what

keep the gears turning at the organization. The volunteers are there to keep things running

smoothly but more importantly to be positive role models and guidance for these young students.

Local professionals help keep Loveworks up and running through their investments and belief in

the students.

Programs & Opportunities

Loveworks has developed several sections of experimental learning within their after-

school program for students to discover life skills and careers. The different categories include

Concepts, The Pitch, Real Enterprises and Real Kitchen. These sections let the students express

themselves with hands on projects and opportunities to utilize their creativity and mental

abilities. For example, the pitch is a section where the students spend six weeks creating a plan

and design for a space, they would like to create within the Loveworks facility. At the end of the

six weeks, the students present to a couple investors with their blueprint, financial package and a

few other things like a normal loan would call for. This gives the middle school students real life

experience while being able to express themselves creativity.

Mission

Loveworks mission is to approach leadership through a continuous cycle of discovering

potential, shaping stories, pursuing action and affirming ideas.

improving the life of his students. His responsibilities at Loveworks consist of overseeing the
