Dear Madam/Sir

I would like to express my interest in a position as an intern architect for your architectural studio.

I‘m willing to move with an one-way ticket to have an architectural job away from home and stay in a new expe-
rience.

As a recent graduate with a Master’s degree in Architecture at Lisbon School of Architecture, where I could expe-
rience many themes that surround architecture such as drawing, urbanism, design, construction methods, and
also doing projects about sustainable architecture, social projects, rehabilitation, housing and public services
buildings, I believe that I am a strong candidate to keep learning and work at your studio.

I also attended Politechnika Wrocławska in Poland during one semester during the Erasmus Programme where
I experienced different methods and acquainted with people from different nationalities that made me acknowl-
edge new architecture points of view.

Being in touch with so many areas about architecture from my university and also from the projects I engaged
during that time, I had experienced many ways were architecture is essential even when no one could see it.
But the biggest thing I’ve learned was the huge responsibility related to our work, in terms such as social move-
ments, security, preservation of the environment, and so many others.

At one semester, I decided to explore a different side of architecture that was always implied on my projects, the
social part and the importance of inhabitants in the surrounded space. So I explored a programme that consisted
on making small projects of architecture in outcast neighbourhoods, always from their peoples’ needs. I under-
stood then that our main goal should always be the people and the perfect relationship between the human
being and its habitable space.

So, I decided to develop my final project in a small city on an island in Africa that was part of a Portuguese colony,
with many needs where architecture could play a huge role. In that way, I could learn new and sustainable ways
of building and work a very different area from the one I was used to.

Therefore I think I would be a beneficial addition to your architecture studio and that would be a good beginning
for my architectural career.
