About social platform operations

Many people say that if you want to do well in Amazon , you must do social platform
operations , obviously it is not unreasonable. Now so many Amazon sellers start to
promote their products and brands on some social platforms. The most popular ones
are social media facebook, twitter, instagram, Pinterest and youtube, also social
forums such as reddit and Quora.

Currently, the social media I touched include facebook, twitter, instagram and
pinterest. Recently, I have posted products information on these platforms every day.
Referring to the promotion strategy of similar websites, I summarized a post
template as below:

1. At the beginning of the post, the website's brand savesoo should be attached.

2. Add the title of the product on the website page, or product name and some
functions;

3. Show out the product’s price in Amazon, and then highlight the actual price on the
website (discounted price or free)

4. Attach a product link which can be redirected to the website

5. Add some hot topic tags about the product or brand

After a period of investigation, I found that these social media still have some
differences. Although I used the same posting method, the presented feedbacks are
different. Take facebook and Instagram as example, compared with facebook,
instagram’s function and interface are more concise, it focuses on visual experience,
just like some mother-infant, electronic , beauty makeup products recently uploaded,
are liked and commented by many users. Therefore, the requirements of instagram
on the picture will be relatively higher, the products with relatively large visual
impact are more suitable for promotion on instagram.

Facebook is relatively complicated. It is a platform for making friends. We can not


only post on it, but also can joined some groups that we are interested through
Group function, and then promote our own website and products by some common
topics. We also can set the fans in groups, it can help future management.

At present, the performance of Twitter and pin is still not very good. The life cycle of
a tweet is very short, so we need to insist on sending tweets, it will be more
attractive in “asking questions” form. Secondly, we can take advantage of the 2
functions : @ and #. When posting, we can @ some social influencers or an account
we interested, # is to label some hot topics or keywords, it is easier to attract more
clicks and fan users by using the 2 functions. It's also very important to actively
interact with the promoters. When someone shares our tweets, we can retweet this
tweet , which can help the promoters to attract his fans, and at the same time it can
also increase our influence on Twitter . Through such mutual cooperation, we can
better achieve twitter marketing.

Another key point in doing these social media promotion is to pay attention to the
time difference and the peak period . Because the website involves different sites,
the user's active time is not the same, so when posting , we can set the posting time
based on each country’s time, so that we can ensure that the posts will appear in
front of the user at the peak time , then the click rate will be relatively high. We
should also concerns about the users’ questions from the platform, we need to reply
in time, the timeliness of the response will also affect the user's registration and later
realization.

YouTube and social forums are relatively unfamiliar platforms. YouTube mainly helps
to promote website or products by looking for network influencers . It is very
important to focus on the quality of influencers . How to find high-quality influencers ,
we need to pay attention to the following:

1. Whether the product recommended by this influencers is related to your product.


Because the source of the fans is also obtained through the keywords of the
influencers’ videos, it can be said that the products recommended by the
influencers are basically what the fans like, if the products you want to promote are
related to the ones they recommended before , it is more possible for the fans to be
your customers;

2. The number of fans; We need to check if the number of fans is increasing stably,
some influencers’ accounts may be attractive in the early stage, but there is no
interesting video in the late stage. we don’t need to consider this kind of influencers.

3. The amount of videos views; the amount of video views is generally proportional
to the number of fans, more videos will bring more fans, more fans will bring more
customers.

4. The interaction between fans and influencers ; If an influencer has a lot of old fans,
when he made a video, the fans loves to comment, which means this kind of fans has
high loyalty and trust, finally it is easier for them to be our customers.

Social forums can't directly publish an advertisement like other social media, so we
need to be active in the forums frequently. We can reply to other people's posts to
brush our presence in the forums. We can also send a topic to attract others to reply
to us . When necessary, we can register another account to increase our activeness .
waiting until right time comes, then we can start to promote our website or
products.
