THE RESTORATION OF ALL THINGS

The servants of the Lord teach nothing but the principles of eternal life.
But their fruits ye shall know them.
“For nothing will save a man but a legal administrator…” TPJS 274
“We don’t ask any people to throw away any good they have got; we only ask them to come and
get more.” TPJS 275
“The power, glory and blessing of the priest-hood could not continue with those who received
ordination only as their righteousness continued; for Cain being authorized to offer sacrifice, but
not offering in righteousness, was cursed.” TPJS 169
“Christ and the resurrected saints will reign over the earth during the thousand years. They will
not probably dwell upon the earth, but will visit when they please, or when it is necessary to
govern it.” TPJS 268
The contention that the Right of the Firstborn will have to be on the earth with a mortal being
until the consummation of the restoration of all things is thus led ad absurdum.
That the office had to go from the one holding it in mortality, namely the prophet Joel, to the
person of the resurrected Christ is plain and simply obvious.
Thus with Joel an unbroken chain of succession from Adam to Joel, in which the Father was
represented by mortal men, did come to its end. This authority being back to the person of Christ
is with a resurrected being, not a mortal.
This great change was of such fundamental import that it had to be ushered in through the
appearance of all the prophets holding this authority in mortality since Adam.
The significance of that change is in the fact that the restoration thus begun will successfully
include all the people and nations of the earth. In the fact that the Kingdom of God will be served
by all nations is the proof that the resurrected Christ will reign as King of kings.
It took the combined power of the tem called the “Host of Heaven”, namely Adam and all those
standing in His place of the Father, to usher in the Millennium of peace, or the Restoration of all
things, the Restitution that will last and effect all things in heaven and on earth, thus the
consummation of all things of the Lord to be restored.
The chain of authority to continue through a lineage of mortals standing as God to the people
was to continue up to the time of the Restoration of all things.
The prophecy for that priesthood to continue until that Restoration was thus fulfilled.
“Having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He
had purposed in Himself;
“That in the Dispensation of the fullness of Times He might gather together in one all things in
Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him.” Ephesians 1
How, we ask, can all things in heaven and on earth be gathered in one, how can all things be
restored on earth and in heaven, without this to culminate in the resurrected being of Christ?
The office had to go back to him from Joel to consummate the Restoration of all things. To be
sure through the authority of the Firstborn, to be sure through Him in His resurrected state.
This Restoration regarding all things of the Lord on this earth and in heaven, all things of the
Lord which have been had before, is the bringing together the order of government over all
things.
Men have tried on earth for six thousand years to bring about an order of things according to
their wisdom and design. Their failure is more obvious today then ever before. The earth has
been polluted and man is at the brink of destruction caused through human failure. The very
reason for the creation of this earth, namely to sustain and make possible the human being, has
thus been put on a road of self-destruction, the natural means to sustain the human family on
earth being in jeopardy.
The plan of life on earth has thus been corrupted; the very reason for it has been lost to the main
part of the family of our heavenly Father. The religions of the world have given way to men’s
false philosophies regarding this mortal life, the hearts of men are in desperation, their outlook
hopeless, their actions more and more suicidal.
If the very purpose of this earth as a place of mortal existence and probation is not know and
understood, any following conclusion and action is incorrect and must lead to eventual failure.
Therefore the political, the economic, and the religious standards for human life on this earth, the
very order on which this life must be based, has been confused.
The only possible preservation is the Restoration of the plan that brings man back to the divine
formula for life and existence, according to the laws of the Creator.
This reform to preserve the basic needs of heaven and earth is the Restoration of all things.
Only those sitting in darkness do claim that this restoration of all things could be postponed, and
that it did not being at its prophetic time, those who thus in their confusion reject the Lord and
His Servants in their mission.
Preservation is first, and is achieved in the order of that which has to be preserved, the order in
which it was created. The things of this earth were not created without regards to heavenly
things, the very creation of man and its surrounding in the image and pattern of heaven and its
God is proof of that.
This earth has been made for a divine purpose. It was not only the means for a place on which
the mortal family of our Father in Heaven could spend a temporary existence in their mortal life,
but, after it fills the measure of its creation it “will be crowned with glory, even the presence of
God the Father. That bodies who are of the Celestial kingdom may posses it for ever and ever;
for, for this intent was it made and created…”
Thus plain and simple, out of the preservation must come the sanctification. This sanctify-cation
is followed by a state of perfection, in which the earth will have the presence of the Father and be
possessed by those of His children who are of the Celestial kingdom.
To achieve this preservation, this sanctification and this perfection, all things must be restored;
all things of the Father, in heaven and on earth must be gathered together in one.
Thus the Prophet declared:
“The building of Zion is a cause that has interested the people of God in every age; it is a theme
upon which the prophets, priests and kings have dwelt with peculiar delight; they have looked
foreward with joyful anticipation to the day in which we live; and fired with heavenly and joyful
anticipations they have sung and written and prophesied of this our day; but they died without
the sight; we are the favored people that God has made choice of to bring about the Latter-day
glory, “the dispensation of the fullness of times, when God will gather all things that are in
heaven, and all things that are upon the earth,” “even in one”, when the saints will be gathered
from every nation, and kindred, and people, and tongue, when the Jews will be gathered together
in one, the wicked also will be gathered to be destroyed, as spoken of by the prophets.
“The spirit of God will also dwell with His people, and be withdrawn from the rest of the
nations, and all things wether in heaven or on earth will be one, even in Christ.
“The heavenly priesthood will unite with the earthly, to bring about those great purposes. And
whilst we are thus united in a common cause, to roll forth the kingdom of God, the heavenly
priesthood are not idle spectators, the spirit of God will be showered down from above, and it
will dwell in our midst.
“The blessings of the most high will rest upon our tabernacles, and our name will be handed
down to future ages; our children will rise up and call us blessed;
“And generations yet unborn will dwell with peculiar delight upon the scenes that we passed
through, the privations that we have endured; the untiring zeal that we have manifested; the all
but insurmountable difficulties that we have overcome in laying the foundation of a work that
brought about the glory and blessing which they will realize;
“A work that God and angels have contemplated with delight for generations past; that fired the
souls of the ancient patriarch and prophets; a work that is destined to bring about the destruction
of the powers of darkness,
“The renovation of the earth, the glory of God, and the salvation of the Human Family”
TPJS 231, 232
The prophet in plain and simple beauty thus states that heaven and earth will be united in a
glorious union, as our prayers will be answered by the Lord, and His kingdom will come on earth
as it is in Heaven.
This is the union that was achieved on this most critical point in the person of the prophet Joel.
This is the great act of the Lord to bring the office representing Him through a chain of mortals,
back to Him, thus uniting the heavens with the earth. The priesthoods of heaven thus unite with
the earthly in a common cause, the cause to make all things wether in heaven or on earth one,
even in Christ.
How could such be accomplished with a continued separation between heaven and earth? The
very representation, one standing as God to the people in a mortal state on earth, was now
completed; Joel the last before Christ took this office to the throne of God, back to His
resurrected Christ.
Thus the union of the common cause was achieved.
The claim that the people of Joel did not measure up to the Lord’s requirements, and in
consequence thereof the “Right of the Firstborn” was taken from them, is refuted by the truth.
Joel brought his people to understand the requirements of God, and his people were willing by
oath and covenant to live up to those requirements.
The so-called “parallel” with the people of Moses is an obvious lie of those who did not keep
their part of the promise, and thus to justify their falling away from the truth and the organized
priesthood authority.
Moses did not succeed to bring his people to a terrestrial state. Joel did in bringing his people to
the acceptance of the law of consecration and stewardship, and the law of the Christ, or the
covenant of the Melchizedek Priesthood.
A few of Joel’s followers never departed from those covenants, thus never fell from that state
and are therefore ready to see their Lord in their midst.
The former truth of doctrine must qualify in our day, based on the same truth.
It will not do to hide behind the pretext of acceptance of the former prophets, while rejecting
those present. As Jesus said, it will not do to beautiful the graves of the former, while the living
prophets are rejected and persecuted.
The principle of Revelation and prophecy must be with us, and therefore the former prophecy
can be understood in its present-day fulfillment. Thus with the oracles of the Lord being with us,
the former is understood.
Without this principle being alive, there is no vision and the people perish.
That which was prophesied must now be understood in its truth as it is now being fulfilled. It is
plain to see that one depends on the other.
The Jews of Jesus’ day did not comprehend, that Jesus, being the promised One, being the
Messiah and the Christ, nevertheless was not, and did not at that time fulfill all of the mission
and promises connected with his person, but would do so at a later time. Thus without accepting
their living prophets, they stumbled over wrong conclusions, and believing a lie crucified Jesus
and perished.
So with Joel and his mission, those among his people who reject the principle of present-day
revelation, killed Joel, and are now lost, not understanding his mission any more. They being in a
state of falling away, made false conclusions, to satisfy their own desires, and clinging to those
lies are deceived into more deception.
Only a speedy repentance, and thus a return to the priesthood and its organization, a return to the
gift of the Holy Ghost, is able to save them.
The confusion among them is the proof that they no more understand the things they did
formerly comprehend. Since the things of God can only be understood by the spirit of God, the
only way to understand is to belong the church of God, the organization Joel brought forth in
which that Gift is secured.
The declaration of some of them, that they have no priesthood, no authority and no church
membership, is a plain and simple declaration of defeat.
For such to set about to challenge the priest-hood and church coming through Joel is plainly the
pattern of those that have fallen away.
The powers of heaven, when manifested are always accompanied by the powers of the
opposition, manifesting itself to a similar degree.
The ushering in of the Millennium of Peace, the commencement of the Restoration of all Things,
was the great breakthrough this creation expected for six thousand years. The great light shed
forth, the manifestation of the powers of Heaven, that were the result of this great event, had to
have its opposition.
It is our intent since we looked into the open grave of our prophets, to reason again with all those
who found previously cause in their mind and heart to agree with the work of this great prophet.
Their children will have to carry the major weight and labor to bring about the Restoration of all
things.
These children, having grown up in difficult times, under the great stress in the lives of their
parents, nevertheless will do this work under the direction of the Lord and His servants.
In our part to bring this about we rely completely in the promise made to Joel, knowing that his
promise is ours, if we but continue in his course.
It is the heritage of the servants of the Lord that no weapon formed against them shall prosper.
The prophet Joel died as a martyr sealing his testimony with his blood. His testimony was the
“True pattern of Priesthood Government”, and its governing power, namely “The Succession in
Priesthood Authority”. To establish the correct and full truth regarding this, was the first and
basic need for the Restoration of all Things, and therefore this restoration has its historic
beginning in that testimony.
The events of Farmington Canyon are the most powerful revelation recorded in available history.
The appearance of the Father, and all those standing on earth in His place, constitutes the very
beginning of the time that was expected since the beginning. In its assembly of the Host of
Heaven the literal power of the Eternal Father was manifest, and in the communication to Joel
the Restoration of all Things was commenced.
No other way could have been equal to the task to usher in the Millennium of Peace and to begin
the Restoration of all Things.
Thus the glorious Morning broke, the shadows were fleeing, the brighter day was dawning on the
Lord world.
Like the reflection of the Great Salt Lake, seen from the heights of Farmington Canyon, the full
truth of Heaven reflected on the soul of the prophet, standing as the Father to the people. In those
handshakes the secure commitment for the salvation of this creation was sealed.
The Priesthood of Heaven and Earth united in one common cause, to roll forth the Kingdom of
God, to restore all Things.
The Restoration had by Enoch did not bring a union of heaven and earth in all things. Therefore
he was translated and will return with his to be part of the present Restoration.
The Restoration of Moses did not reach all nations of the earth; no universal peace did result, as
it will in this Millennium.
The prophet Joseph’s Restoration, by his own words, was a further preparation to “restore all
things in heaven and on earth”.
The Lord prepared Israel with a Constitution and Statutes and Judgments to receive the Political
Kingdom of God.
Joel, as stated in the words of the Lord, was to do likewise.
The United States of America, which was brought about in fulfillment of prophecy and with the
assistance of the Lord, the “Little Horn” of prophecy, that spake great things against the Most
High, that tough to change times and laws, has developed into a condition like Egypt, and thus
into bondage for Israel, which is as real as the former bondage in Moses time.
To be delivered from that bondage, to establish a state of liberty, the Lord through Moses
delivered Israel and through Moses organized the Political Kingdom of God.
Joel endowed with the same authority which Moses held, called for, and made possible a
gathering, meaning a deliverance from bondage and organized the Government of the Political
Kingdom of God. In fulfillment of prophecy, the woman, which is the church of God, brought
forth the “child that was to rule all nations with a rod of iron.” This child, of course is the
Political Kingdom of God, the very power that will bind Satan for the thousand years.
The dragon, ready to devour the child as soon as it was born, was not able to, the child being
taken to the throne of God.
This political kingdom restored by Joel through the authority in which “all things are restored”,
will not be overcome, neither will the woman that brought in forth. The child was preserved and
will come forth in its full manhood, in its full power in Adam-Ondi-Ahman.
This is the stone cout out of the mountain without hands. This is the kingdom all nations will
serve and that will stand forever, the kingdom that will be given to the Saints of the Most High.
Thus the prophet Joel, with the power to restore all things, did bring forth the child to rule all
nations with a rod of iron, and the child was not overcome.
It was saved not to be devoured; it was taken not to be overcome. It should be plain to see that it
will fulfill its destiny, that Joel’s restoration was a success.
Abraham called what he received from Melchizedek “The Right of the Fathers”, by reason that
in this priesthood the Father was represented fully to the Human family on this earth.
This office, being the priesthood after the Order of the Son of God, is the priesthood of Christ. It
came in an unbroken chain from Adam to Joel. It came in an unbroken chain of “Fathers” in a
moral state.
It had been conferred upon Jesus in His mortality on the Mount by Moses. It was held last by
Joel and at the end of his mortal life returned to the Christ.
The blood of Joel’s martyrdom, shed by his brother, was the last martyrdom of one standing as
God to the people in a mortal state.
At the beginning Abel was slain by his brother Cain. At the end Joel was slain by his brother
Ervil.
Joel’s death and his return to God as a martyr in this office, caused a war in heaven, in which
Michel cast out the accuser of the brethren. Now had come salvation, and strength, and the
kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ.
In Joel’s return to the throne of God, having prepared the way before the Christ, the Right of the
Firstborn had returned to heaven and to the Son of God after whom it was named. Thus is the
power of this event, the authority of Christ had lasted successfully for its time of representation
through mortal men.
“For the accuser of the brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and
night.”
“For they have overcome him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; for
they loved not their lives, but kept the testimony even unto death.”
The significance of this event is in the fact, that the “Fathers”, those representing the Eternal
Father on earth had been successful.
Joel as the last of them had started the Restoration of all Things of the Lord, the restoration that
would not be partial, but would in its full scope, earth and heaven and all things in them, be
consummated. The promise of God Almighty to Joel was, that no enemy would prevail against
him until the kingdoms of this world would become the Kingdom of our God and His Christ.
Thus the Restoration, the last and full one, initiated through Joel, a mission that will include all
nations’ tongues and people, would succeed.
Joel having brought forth the child, paying with his life, had come home to the Father and to the
Son. The Right of the Firstborn had victoriously completed its representation in a succession of
mortal beings.
The Priesthood standing as God to the people had come home, the Millennium had been ushered
in, the promise that the work of the Father would prevail was fulfilled.
The mission of the Firstborn had its beginning before this world was made. The Creation of this
world was by the Father and the Firstborn. The Firstborn had been the one Son who was taking
the lead in the beginning. In standing forth as the One that led the children of God in the Great
Council of the pre-existence, He became the “word” that was in the beginning with God, and that
was God, namely the Son of God, or God the Son.
His was the task to stand as God to the people on this earth. As such He was the God of the Old
Testament. His was the voice of Jehova that proclaimed the Constitution of the Political
Kingdom of God; He spoke and wrote the Ten Commandments.
It was the mission of that Firstborn to make a way for His Fathers family, so they might return
from mortality into the presence of their Father, thus it was His to brake the bands of Sin and
death, to achieve a forgiveness of sins, an “atonement” with the Father. Through His blameless
sacrifice on the Cross this was achieved.
Thus He brought about Resurrection and Conciliation for Mortals with their eternal Father.
Since this had to be accomplished in a mortal state, this Firstborn was also the “Only Begotten”
of the Father in the flesh.
It is His further mission and the right of the Firstborn, namely Christ, to bring the Restoration of
all Things, in heaven and on earth, to its consummation, to its fulfillment or completion.
He is to come as the king of kings, as Lord of lords to rule literally over all people and nations on
this earth. Every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is the Christ.
The eternal law of a political nature is such, that it will allow no crime or disrespect of the rights
of men and God. To curb crime, to punish crime, to defend peace, to protect life, property and
conscience, effective means of punishment, equal to the task, must be law and must be used.
Thus these laws were spoken and written by the mouth of the Firstborn and by His finger.
The Firstborn, Christ Himself, made prophecy as to the time and person through which this
punishment of the Criminal will be had. Moses prophesied that a prophet like him would be
raised to accomplish this.
The child that was brought forth by the woman, the child to rule all nations with a rod of iron,
was cought up to God and His throne, in order to be preserved. It will return to this earth in a
glorious union of heaven and earth, when the Ancient of Days shall sit on this earth and give this
kingdom to the Son of God.
Thus Christ will be the Messiah or the anointed kings. This deliverer whom the Jews were so
anxiously expecting, him who they slew, is being mistaken about the time of His Messiahs-hip. It
is Him whom Moses prophesied, a prophet that would be raised like Moses.
The preparation for the Messiah was through Joel early in the Restoration of all Things. In
prophesying to the people of the Book of Mormon, Christ plainly said “I am he of whom Moses
spake, saying: “A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you…”
With Him as the king, the time will come when all those who will not hear the words of that
prophet will be destroyed from among the people. Criminality will meet its punishment. Liberty
and the Millennium of Peace will be preserved. The rights of God and men will be protected.
This Kings is the Firstborn, is Christ. His part in the mission will be fulfilled by Him as the
resurrected being He is. His mortal probation ended on the Cross, his resurrection was achieved
when He took up His body.
He held the Right of the Firstborn, when he took His place in the preexistence. He held the Right
of the Firstborn when He spoke as the Jehovah on the Mount. He held the Right of the Firstborn
as mortal men. He holds the Right of the Firstborn, as a resurrected being now, to come forth and
consummate the Restoration of all Things.
Thus in plainness and simplicity, the truth about the Right of the Firstborn is, that it extends, as
revealed to us, over the pre-existence, the mortal state, and now functions in a resurrected state.
The prophets appearing to Joel were those who held the Right of the Firstborn, on earth. They
were the “Fathers” because they represented Him on earth. They are the team causing the loud
shout of victory after the last one had returned victoriously.
The devil works with his might to deny that Joel was indeed the last one before the Christ, that
thus the long awaited event, unity of heaven and earth was achieved, that the Millennium was
ushered in, that the all but insurmountable difficulties have been surmounted.
The Lord Jesus, in prophesying regarding our days which are preceding His reign on earth, or the
Restitution of all Things, warned His disciples with pointed plain and simple words, so they
would know, recognize and overcome this great deception of the adversary.
The beginning of Joel’s mission was to establish the knowledge of an office after the Order of
the Son of God. This plain and simple truth, namely, that there was a priesthood standing as God
to the people, representing God the Father to the Human Family, and the fact that Joel stood in
this place, was denied by the fallen people of Mormondom.
The knowledge was brought forth victoriously to the world, by the very one holding this
authority to “stand as God to the people.”
Now that the time has come when the common purpose, namely to unite the priesthood of
heaven and earth, has been achieved through the martyrdom of Joel’s and by the return of this
authority uniting heaven and earth, the devil denies this very thing.
“Who unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!
For ye are like unto whited sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outwardly but are within
full of the bones of the dead, and of all uncleanness.
“… Even so, ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within are full of hypocrisy and
iniquity.
“Who unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because ye build the tombs of the prophets,
and garnish the sepulchers of the righteous.
“And say, if we had been in the days of the prophets, we would not have been partakers with
them in the blood of the prophets;
“Wherefore, ye are witnesses unto yourselves of your own wickedness, and ye are the children of
them who killed the prophets;
“And will fill the measure then of your fathers; for you yourselves, kill the prophets like unto
your fathers.
“Ye serpents and generations of vipers!
How can ye escape the damnation of hell?
“Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes; and of them ye shall
kill and crucify; and of them ye shall scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to
city.
“That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of
righteous Abel… Matthew 23
That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous
Abel, unto the blood of righteous Joel, whom ye slew, agreeing with those saying he failed in his
mission.
Jesus plainly said “Many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many”.
The claims of the fallen part of Joel’s people to Joel’s office, their expectations, hints, and
intimations that Joel’s office will be, or is with someone else before the Christ, are definite
fulfillment, plain and simple, of His prophecy.
“And again, after the tribulation of those days which shall come upon Jerusalem, if any man shall
say unto you, Lo! Here is Christ, or there, believe him not.
“For in those days shall also arise false Christ, and false prophets, and shall show great sings and
wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect, who are the elect
according to the covenant.”
Jesus says plainly that as the morning comes out of the East to cover the whole earth, so shall His
coming be.
All those who profess Joel as a prophet, and believe and teach that he did not fulfill his mission
as the last servant standing as God to the people before the Christ, believe and teach and practice
a lie, they are the “evil servants that shall say in their hearts, “My Lord delayeth His coming.”
This critical time of such denials of Joel’s authority and mission is with us since his martyrdom.
First the accuser of the brethren and his servants denied the very existence of the Rights of the
Firstborn, only now to deny the blood of his mission that brought the transfer of this authority to
Christ.
Thus the mission of the “Fathers” and all those standing formerly in His place is denied by a lie
and false witness.
That the great falling away occurred among those whom Joel raised is plain and simply proven,
since they did before witness to his authority and mission.
The prophecy of Jacob tells us that the last servant in the vineyard would do as the Lord
commanded, and bring other servants.
That those servants will work in the vineyard with all their might, and that the Lord of the
vineyard will work with them.
How could this prophecy be fulfilled, this common purpose be achieved, between earthly
servants and their resurrected Lord, other, than the last one before the Lord, to leave mortality
and return to heaven, thus to transfer that priesthood of the unbroken line since Adam, back to
the Lord in His resurrected state?
In this union of purpose, the priesthood of heaven and that upon earth achieve their common
labor to preserve the natural fruit that is good, even as it was in the beginning.”
The prophet then shows the time of the end when the last gathering will be accomplished, and
the earth will burned with fire, that will consume the bad and perfect the good, a fire that will
change the earth into a celestial glory.
Jacob then, in expounding the prophecy, that the day in which the Lord will set His hand the
second time, is the day “even the last time, that the servants of the Lord will go forth in His
power, to nourish and prune the Lord’s vineyard; and after that the end soon cometh.”
The last time, the time before the end, the time of the common labor and purpose of the
priesthood on earth and in heaven.
Of course, the time of Resurrection of all Things.
“And how merciful is our God unto us, for He remembereth the House of Israel, both roots and
branches;
“And He stretches forth His hands unto them all the day long; and they are a stiff-necked and a
gainsaying people;
But as many as will not harden their hearts shall be saved in the Kingdom of God.”
