PULSE LASER STATION

NPL-820
§E !

i
Nikon's NPL-820 pulse laser station boasts a
significant advance — a reflectorless EDM.
This makes it possible to survey points
previously inaccessible with conventional
systems, thus offering a major improvement
in field productivity.
The NPL-820 drastically reduces time
requirements for most jobs. It is an impres-
sive fusion of Nikon's world-renowned laser
and optics technologies with the advanced,
field-proven on-board data recording
system of the DTM-800 Series.
MAJOR FEATURES
Coaxial focusing system reflectorless EDM
Diameter of laser beam is etched into the reticle
High-precision ±(3+3ppm x D)mm reflectorless EDM
0.5 sec. high-speed tracking measurement time
Can be used with standard prisms and reflector sheets
Long distance measurement possible (5km/16,400 ft. for a single prism)
Offers the field-proven features of Nikon's DTM-820:
• Open system architecture (built-in MS-DOS" compatible system)
• World industry standard PCMCIA memory cards
• Large, high-contrast 256 x 80 pixel graphic LCD
• Lumi-Guide tracking light
• Advanced power management system
• Unique security features including auto backup of all record data
• DIN 3" (1mgon) accuracy with dual-axis tilt sensor
• Powerful selection of on-board applications designed for
practical field use
• Easy-to-use, sophisticated on-board data recording

• The term white target here refers to a material which has a reflectivity of
more than 90%.
•* Distance ranges are given for Nikon specified prisms.

The NPL-820 reflectorless EDM cannot measure all surfaces

in all situations. However, greater range and flexibility can be
obtained with paper, spray, tape and spot-paint targets. We
recommend the use of reflective sheets with difficult-to-
capture targets like wire fences, for example.
