AMPV, MIBF
AMPV – Average Monthly Print Volume, is the average number of images
printed or copied per month.

MIBF – Mean Images Between Failures - Value is calculated based on AMPV

and estimated annualized service event rate.
Note: An image is defined as a single-sided letter/A4 page.

Contractual Product AMPV(images) MIBF(images)

Model
E72525 4304 258,000

E72530 6506 390,000

E72535 8822 529,000

Recommended Monthly Print Volume (RMPV) / Max Duty Cycle

Recommended Monthly Print Volume (RMPV) - estimated number of images

printed per month by the average target customer for the product. In most
cases, using the product within this range will ensure the most efficient total
cost per page.

Maximum Monthly Usage (Duty Cycle) - a term used broadly in the printer
industry to communicate the robustness of the device. It is the estimated
maximum capability of the device.

Contractual
Contractual Contractual RMPV Max Duty Cycle
Product Model (Images) (Images)
E72525 Up to 40,000 100,000

E72530 Up to 45,000 120,000

PRODUCT LIFE
Print Engine Life – is the number of pages the device was designed to perform
at a given failure rate. The product will continue to work past this number of
pages; however, the MIBF will decrease as the product is used. Actual engine
life is dependent on several factors such as usage, environmental conditions,
and proper preventative maintenance.

Engine Component Life

Print Engine 600,000 images
Scanner(GX) 100,000 scans
Flow ADF(GX) 400,000 scans
Scanner(LX) 100,000 scans
ADF(LX) 400,000 scans

When the product engine, ADF, or Scanner has exceeded its rated life or has a
regular extremely high monthly usage, additional failures may occur. Potential
failures include mechanical failures, noises, squeaking gears and more
frequent paper jams.

Mean time to repair (MTTR)

MTTR Service Parts– is the average time required to replace an individual
service part. These times are for experienced and trained copier technicians.
MTTR Maintenance and Consumables – Mean Time To Repair – This is the
average time required to replace a Maintenance part in the product.

Contractual MTTR type Time

Note:MTTR refers to the time it takes to replace an individual part. MTTR does
not reflect the time it takes to validate the part and system is working properly.

Environmental specifications – The environmental specifications must be

maintained to ensure the proper operation of the device. Consider the
following points before installing the printer:
 Install the device in a well-ventilated, dust-free area.
 Install the device on a level, flat surface that can support its size and
weight. Do not install on carpet or other soft surfaces. Make sure that all
four device feet are level. Insure Input stablizers are in the down position.
 Install the device where temperature and humidity are stable, with no
abrupt changes (away from water sources, humidifiers, air conditioners,
refrigerators, or other major appliances.)
 Install the device away from direct sunlight, areas that experience vibration,
open flames, ammonia fumes, ultrasonic heaters, and devices that emit a
magnetic field. If the printer is placed near a window, make sure that the
window has a curtain or blind to block direct sunlight, and insure the
window is closed, so the temperature and humidity levels inside the room
do not get affected by the outdoor environment.
