Sustaining the Project after the Proposal Period

After a set amount of time after the project (example: 3 weeks, one month) I will ask the students how the school is doing

with creating an accepting community for diversity. Have school policies changed? Have student actions changed? Are you more

comfortable within school? Are people still taking into consideration your projects and what was said? Once the project is

completed, I could ask the students how this project might may have been better and what they would have changed through our

ten days.

Innovation

This project will enhance student learning by the students reviewing our history and how people and the United States

created a more accepting community of diversity and how the people got there. With the students reviewing this, they will look at

their own lives and our school and really think about how they want things to be changed for their community and how they want to

be accepted. This will transform the student learning by showing them they are capable by making change themselves. Looking at

past events and people create change within the world, and they can do the same for our school. This project will transform my

teaching by facilitating the students and learning how to ask them question that will guide their work and questions on how they can

come up with the answers.

Technology Support
Technology will be utilized through the computer carts or through the classroom that creates the announcements for the

school which have the MacBook’s with iMovie. Computer carts will be reserved for the two weeks we are doing this project and

arrangements will be made with the teacher that is in the computer room for any student to go in there and use the MacBook’s.
