Each NORD Screw Conveyor Drive
consists of a

• Cross drilled two hole drive shaft
• Waste pack seal assembly
with seal packing material
and is ready to bolt up to your
standard CEMA dimensioned trough
end. Installation is simple!
NORD product features are designed
to keep your drive operating trouble-
free for a long time. The standard
QUADRILIP™ seal system provides
twice the leak protection offered by
conventional double lip seals.

Cross-drilled shaft
Waste pack seal
The standard AUTOVENT breather
allows the gear case to normalize
pressure during heat up and cool
down cycles without lubrication
contamination. UNICASE™ one-
piece housings are made from
strong SAE 30 cast iron to stabilize
shaft centers without leakage.
Standard high quality gears (up to
AGMA Class 13 standards) are
mounted in a torsionally stiff housing
to deliver torque quietly and
efficiently. Conservatively selected
bearings handle high thrust loads
from the screw. Optional heavy-duty
tapered roller bearings eliminate the
need for thrust bearings.
