Simple Past Of Be

Definition

simple past tense is a sentence that indicates that activities begin and end in the past at a certain
time

Function

simple past tense is used to tell events in the past that occurred at a certain time

Information

adverbs of time that are usually used in past tense sentences are yesterday, last nigh / week /
month / year, two hours / days / weeks / weeks ago, in January, in 2004

This adverb of time is written specifically

There are two kinds of sentences namely, verbal sentences and nominal sentences

Subject + to be (was/were) + complement
