CALIFORNIA POLYTECHNIC STATE UNIVERSITY SAN LUIS OBISPO ANTICIPATED: JUNE 2021
GPA: 3.44
· Pursuing: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
· Class Level: Junior
· Related coursework: Intermediate Dynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Mechanics of Materials II, and Design &
Solid Modeling.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
FULLY MECHANICAL OBSTACLE AVOIDANCE ROVER MARCH 2019
· Designed various fully mechanical subsystems to be implemented into the Venus Rover.
· Redesigned various wheels on Solidworks to fit appropriate tolerances. Sent the files to get 3D printed.
· Assembled and assessed changes to be made to the rover.
TIE TYING APPARATUS NOVEMBER 2018
· 3D modeled a tie tying apparatus which enabled individuals with missing arms to tie their ties by
pressing down on a pedal.
· Produced a Solidworks animation video which was presented in class alongside 3 other group members.
SPRING PROPELLED VEHICLE NOVEMBER 2018
· Assembled an all mechanical spring propelled vehicle whose sole purpose was to travel various random
distances along various surfaces.
· Spot welded the axel of the vehicle to hold the distance mechanism and power sawed the vehicles spring
housing components.
· Hole sawed and sand grinded the vehicles wheels to desired diameters.
BALL RETRIEVING CONTRAPTION SEPTEMBER 2018
· Built a moving contraption which collected balls along a desired path.
· Power sawed various metal sheets to produce a ramp and hole sawed the contraptions wheels which
were then modified to avoid slipping.
LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
3D PRINT VOLUNTEER -INNOVATION SANDBOX| CALIFORNIA POLYTECHNIC STATE UNIVERSITY 2019-PRESENT
· 3D print student’s class projects, personal projects, and other on campus team’s prints using … with
nozzle diameters of 0.04mm and 0.06mm.
· Optimize and orient prints in order to minimize print time and maximize strength in the parts.
· Organize incoming printing jobs on google sheets and arrange completed parts in designated areas.
MONTHLY MENTOR-SWE| CALIFORNIA POLYTECHNIC STATE UNIVERSITY 2019-PRESENT
· Tutor children between the ages of 8 and 14 in STEM related subjects at assigned campuses.
·
