Sub- Excess interest charged by SBI Dhanbad to the tune of Rs 149030.00 reg.
Sir,

During Internal Audit of District Office Dhanbad it was observed from bank reconciliation
statement as on 31.03.2014 that excess debit charged by S.B.I Dhanbad to the tune of
Rs.149030.00(one lakh forty nine thousand thirty )only. In this regard District Office
Dhanbad lodged the complain to SBI Dhanbad to return the Excess interest charged by SBI
Dhanbad. Accordingly bank replied that on various days the limit at their middleton Row
Branch account of FCI was overdrawn due to which sweep was not effected & the debit
balance at their end couldn't be adjusted. As a result interest was applied by the system for
the outstanding amount at their end.

Hence it is requested to take up the matter with SBI, Middleton Row Branch for reversal
of the amount
