The REDcycle Program allows consumers to recycle soft plastic bags and packaging by collecting them at designated drop off bins. Consumers should perform the "scrunch test" to determine if an item is soft enough plastic to be recycled - if it can be scrunched into a ball, it can be placed in a REDcycle bin. Common items accepted include plastic bags, frozen food bags, pasta bags, confectionery bags, and cereal box liners. Rigid plastics, glass, rubber, paper, cardboard, tin cans, and food waste cannot be recycled through REDcycle.
