I. Objectives
Content Standard The learners demonstrate an understanding of Key concepts and
approaches in the Social Sciences
Performance Standard The learners shall be able to:
1. interpret personal and social experiences using relevant approaches
in the Social Sciences.
2. Evaluate the strength and weaknesses of the approach.
Learning Competencies The learners to determine manifest and latent functions and
dysfunctions of socio cultural phenomena (HUMSS_DIS11 –I I Ie-f-1)
Specific Objectives At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
A. Explain the latent dysfunction
B. Identify were the latent dysfunction belong from the given
institution
C. Generate students imaginative skills in accomplishing the
activity,

1.Dysfunctions within a social system, particularly latent dysfunctions

system to change.
2. Latent dysfunction it can be used to report on and document events
as they happen. This capability allows people to disrupt the existing
order by bypassing the news media, government censors, and others
who try to control or suppress the flow of information.
e.g. (fiesta)they would be represented by people missing work due to
the traffic jam.
