#SoP: Writing SoPs and goal in a college form is not easy since most of the time we

don't know what is our goal and how to pen it down.

On a lighter note - it's similar to applying for a post of Son-in-law. You should know the
family values (college) and mention how you are good at all the points at which they are
also good/best. :)

Here I would like you to say, MBA/PGDM is a learning rather than a degree. It's true that
you might get calls (job or other places) on the basis of your A-3 size certificate, but it's
learning which will help you throughout.

So always relate your SoP to learning.

SoP = Your small intro (quality) + Specific reason to MBA + Short term + long term
goals + learning + experience + how learning will help in ur goals ?

If you can connect your DOTs (your learning from past or profile) with this learning that's
icing on a cake.

I believe the PGP program at IIM Bangalore is the next logical step of my career. PGP
from IIM Bangalore will help complement the technical skills I have acquired so far in my
career and would widen my perspective. The program will act as a catalyst for my
transformation from a technical person to a managerial role which requires engaging
with clients, effective team organization, understanding budget constraints, careful
planning, and execution. It will help me to understand the finer nuances of business so
that I am able to make a well-informed decision. Further, an MBA from a premier B-
school will also help me to widen my network. IIMB, with its cutting-edge pedagogy,
infrastructure, and international and domestic industry orientation, and vibrant
intellectual atmosphere will enable me to learn from my peers by exchanging ideas with
some of the best brains of India. I am confident I possess the experience, motivation, and
capability required not only to succeed at IIMB program but also to contribute to the
same.

This is my PIQ (sop) for XYZ college.

Being a Maths Hons (mention your degree), I have a strong aptitude to critically analyze
and interpret situations. I am looking forward to augmenting my mathematical skills with
those of business management in XYZ as a higher career prospect with perseverance,
character, grit, and determination. My holistic objective is to transform myself into
complete professional, having the high standard of competence and ethics, thought
leadership, a responsible team player with initiative who can contribute meaningfully to
the economy and society. I aspire to enhance my ability to communicate, analyze
situations using quantitative and qualitative factors, develop a holistic view of the
different functional areas of the business administration.

I am a perseverant person who believes in marching ahead in life with courage and
determination. I also believe in utilizing advice and criticisms for the betterment of
career. I am quite sure that my above strength will help me to do justice with the high-
quality parameter set by XYZ(name of college)

Being not a materialistic person, I want the MBA so as to be able to better help others
because this is what I find most exciting.
