This book is truly inspiring and motivating. We normally have all basic stuff in our life, but still
there would be many of them who are never happy and they just go with the flow of their life.
It also tells us how important is it to have a work-life balance. There is often the lack of mental
peace and we all know; today’s world is full of negativity. We hardly hear someone saying
positive thing or doing some kind of things which makes themselves feel positive and good
about it.

 It is a story of a famous lawyer (Julian Mantle) who was a very successful litigation
lawyer but deeply unhappy. He used to live a very luxurious life and had everything
what we could just dream off. He did not have a happy family and a happy life. He had a
severe heart attack and after his medications he decided to stop doing litigation work
and then he travelled to India to find his purpose in life.
 He travelled in India to the Himalayas in search of the meaning of his life. There he met
a Yogi and started living with those people. He learned and gained various life lessons.
He then shares those lessons with his one lawyer friend and tells him to pass on
knowledge and lessons to others.
 The various lessons learned and shared by him are too interesting, which everyone
should follow in their daily life to reach some goal and also to live a flourishing life.
 The quality of our life is defined by the quality of our thoughts. We should thin in a
positive way with a stress-free mind. There are no mistakes. We only learn various
lesson from those mistake e should learn from those mistakes and use as an opportunity
for personal expansion and growth.
 Some techniques to perform – (The Heart of the rose) somewhat like the meditation. To
stay focused and think. (Opposition Thinking) If any negative thought tries to distract us
then we should always try to replace such thoughts with a positive one. (The Secret of
the Lake) Dreams can turn into reality. The only think is we should see ourselves like the
person we want to become. We need to visualize things. Also find out the thing which
we want to do and work hard towards that.
 We should know the purpose of our life. If there is no purpose then it won’t make any
sense to work towards that. Our goals and everything should be clear.
 We should not fear from anything, take care of our physical health and body too. We
need to prepare our mind too. Eat healthy. We should also always be ready to read
more and gain more knowledge. We need to check ourselves, as what right and wrong
stuffs have, we done in the whole day. We need to analyses ourselves. Also, we need to
have time for passion and music too. Try waking up early.
 Live our life with discipline. Self – discipline is must
 We should also have a personal diary of our own, where we should write about the daily
activities and also about our dreams. As what all we want to achieve we should write in
that diary and also stick pictures if you want. We need to also keep on reading our diary.
Our goals, dreams etc. should be written.
 We need to manage our time. As its more precious and nonrenewable. We need to
focus on our priorities and work on it each and every day.
 We should serve others, as we can contribute to someone’s life with some sort of help
or knowledge as required. The quality of contribution does matters.
 We need to grow our destiny; we all have something that we are meant to do. We
should stay connected to our mission and goals in our life. We need to also follow our
dreams as that will bring us to the dream destination.
At the end of the day, your happiness is a choice you have to make and there is a life
journey which you have to take.
