Steered by mission, vision and core values of Department of Education (DepEd) in facilitating

and ensuring the provision and delivery of quality, equitable, culture-based and complete basic
education under Basic K to 12 Education, Begang National High School senior high unit offered
Caregiving course for Home Economic Strand for both Grades 11 and 12 students for School
Year 2019-2020.

The school growing need based on demand from parents and students to augment Caregiving to
existing strands namely; GAS and ICT that BeNHS (SH) will provide option for junior high
completers to spend their senior high education in the said school.

Senior High Curricular Adviser and Teacher Maricar Uyeg, one of the teachers responsible for
students’ TESDA Accreditation both in NC 1 and II said that Caregiving as educational
discipline will produce skilled caregivers coming from the school per se. She also mentioned that
students enrolled in this strand will be little doctors and nurses who will gain basic and advance
learning concepts regarding caregiving.

Recently, Philip Tan, M.D. the school’s loyal stakeholder and donor of various equipment in
BeNHS gave hospital beds, wheel chairs and soon laboratory room and facilities as response to
this newly-opened course.

Arnel B. Hajan, Ed. D, school principal presented to open Caregiving in BeNHS before the
presence of Roy C. Tuballa, Ed. D. CESE Schools Division Superintendent at school’s 4th
Moving-Up Ceremony last year.

BeNHS senior high programs include; Information and Communication Technology 1 and II
(ICT strand), Agriculture 1 and II (AFA) and General Academic Strand (GAS).
