COURSE DESCRIPTION
Composition-I has been designed for the undergraduate students from various departments of
GIFT University, Gujranwala. Composition-I is primarily designed to provide the students
with a detailed introduction to the standard and variant usage of English language. This is a
core course having 3 Credit Hours which will be taught across the board to all the students of
semester-I in graduate degree programs.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
After the completion of this course, the students will
 have thorough knowledge of standard English grammar rules
 be able to identify the words from the selected vocabulary pool and the grammatical
category that these words belong to
 be able to convert words into different grammatical categories
 be able to construct standard English sentences by employing the learned vocabulary
and grammatical knowledge
 be able to differentiate between standard English and emerging varieties of English
