the air conditioner when the engine starts.
• Judgment of engine start is performed when the engine speed is 500 [min-1] or more.
• Judgment of engine stop is performed when the engine speed is less than 400 [min-1] for 1 second or
more.
1. If abnormal vehicle speed or engine speed (during normal traveling on a flat road) is detected, the
alarm buzzer sounds and the overrun warning indicator is lit. To prevent an false detection due to a
sudden change of the engine speed, the warning is issued when the judgment time of continuity

1. "1st", "2nd", and "R" selected by the gearshift operation are for manual transmission. "D" acts as automatic gear while "High" mode is selected and acts as manual 3rd gear while "Low" mode is selected.
2. Forward 6 gears (F1 through F6) and reverse 2 gears (R1 and R2) are provided. While "High" mode is selected, the available gears are F4, F5, F6, and R2. While "Low" mode is selected, the available gears
are F1, F2, F3, and R1.
3. While automatic transmission is functioning, the gear upshifts when the speed detected by the main speed sensor reaches the specified value and downshifts when the speeds detected by the main speed
sensor and the sub-speed sensor drop to the specified values according to the shift map.
While manual transmission is functioning, upshifting is always available regardless of the vehicle speed. However, to prevent overshifting, downshifting is not available until the speeds detected by the main
speed sensor and the sub-speed sensor drop to the specified value.
4. 4 types of setting are available for the shift map of automatic transmission according to the mode selection (power/economy) and accelerator opening status (90% or more, less than 90%).
5. While "High" mode is selected, lockup is ON/OFF according to the currently selected gear and the main speed sensor. Lockup is OFF for the specified time (1.0 seconds) to prevent shocks when
upshift/downshift is performed.
6. While the vehicle speed is restricted, only "1st" is available during "High" mode, and "1st" and "2nd" are available during "Low" mode. While the gearshift is restricted, only "1st" and "2nd" are available during
"High" mode.
7. While emergency transmission is ON, Do_(N), Do_Lockup, Do_(F1), Do_(F2), Do_(F3), Do_(R), Do_(Low) and M_SOL1 are OFF, and manual transmission is performed via external circuits.
However, the indicator corresponding to the gearshift status indicates the transmission output status. (See the table "Transmission output status and combination meter display".)
8. The lockup solenoid is integrated with the PTO solenoid. Lockup does not work while the PTO is ON.
9. If the vehicle speed with lockup OFF is faster than the vehicle speed when downshift is performed, lockup is ON.
Note 3: When the vehicle speed detected by the main speed sensor is the specified speed of 30 [km/h] (18.6 [mi/h]) or faster, the gearshift status "N" turns to "D" but "D" cannot turn to "N".

the engine ECU.
Accelerator sensor input 1 or 2 whichever is smaller is used. If an input error occurs in one accelerator

(*1) When the intermittent operation input is ON, the interval output of the wiper operation output is
repeated in the sequence of one-second ON and five-second OFF alternately. When the intermittent
operation input is OFF, the wiper operation output is turned OFF immediately.
(See Time chart 1.)
(*2) When the washer operation signal is input for 0.3 [s] or more, the wiper operation signal is output. After
washer operation is stopped, the wiper operation output remains ON for 2 seconds. (See Time chart 2.)
(*3) When the intermittent operation and washer operation are performed at the same time, the washer
operation is given a higher priority and the wiper operation signal is output accordingly.
Example: When the washer operation is performed while the wipers are in an intermittent operation, the
wiper operation output with the intermittent operation is halted, and the wiper operation signal
is output with the washer operation. After the wiper operation output with the washer
operation is completed and its output is turned OFF, the interval output of the wiper operation
output (with the intermittent operation input) is resumed in the sequence of five-second OFF
and one-second ON alternately. (See Time chart 3.)

8. Error display
• The received DTC code is converted to a code for CMA display and output to CAN to display the
transmitted error code from each equipment on CMA.
• If multiple error codes occur, they are transmitted at 1-second interval every 2 seconds in the order of
occurrence.
• The occurred error codes are transmitted repeatedly until they are recovered.
• Renewal of the errors to be transmitted is performed after all errors in transmission process are
transmitted. Therefore, the errors being recovered are not displayed during the period.
(Example: If 5 errors occur, renewal is not performed for 10 seconds.)

are ON only during the period of time while the starter is ON and the indicators are lit.
(The indicators other than the two indicators controlled by this function are lit for 1 second on CMA
when the power supply is turned ON. However, the turn signal lamps are not lit.)
(1) During power supply keeping, detections for hardware abnormality (excluding power supply voltage
abnormalities 7111 and 7112) and serial communication data abnormality from VCU to DCU2 (7202 to
