VII. JUSTIFICATION:
The purpose of the proposed extension project is to conduct a monitoring and
visitation on the Development of Pico Hydro Power Generator in horizontal axis with Angle
shifting blades to Bakas River, Barangay Matictic, Norzagaray, Bulacan. Since the main
livelihood of the area is poultry farming, the raw material that will be used in the project is
readily available and abundant in the vicinity making it suitable for the deployment of the
project. Harnessing poultry product like eggs by the use of electrical and electronic devices
lessens labor cost, and improves the efficiency of the production compared to other
conventional processes used.

Recently, TUP, barangay Matictic and the Bakas River Patrol has pledge their
commitment for this project through the signing of the Technology Transfer Agreement this
year 2019.
VIII. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the program, the technology adopters will be able to:
1. Familiarize with the use and operation of the Pico Hydro Power Generator With angle
shifting blades; and
2. Gain much of the advantages of using the Pico Hydro Power System.
3. Evaluate the transferred or acquired prototype through accomplishing the Technology
Transfer Monitoring Survey/Questionnaire
IX. DESCRIPTION:
• A Pico Hydro Power Generator in Horizontal Axis with Angle Shifting Blades in Bakas
River, Brgy. Matictic, Norzgaray, Bulacan is a research and extension project proposed by
the College of Engineering. It consists hydro turbine, charging controller, and automated
blades that will serve as the source of electricity of the greenhouse.
X. RESOURCES NEEDED:

- COE faculty experts and inventors willing to promote the adoption and use of
technology and conduct an evaluation and monitoring survey of the transferred technology
to the barangay.
