1 INTRODUÇÃO
Fase inicial
É a fase incipiente do incêndio, com temperatura no teto de aproximadamente
o
40 C. Após as chamas aparecerem o incêndio cresce rapidamente.
O que o investigador pode verificar em um incêndio que foi combatido ainda
nesta fase:
x É fácil verificar o padrão de queima em “V” no foco inicial.
x É fácil encontrar o foco inicial e, conseqüentemente, a causa.
x A maioria dos vestígios ainda está intacta.
Fase final
Nesta fase o combustível torna-se mais escasso, a queima em chamas é
menor e a presença de incandescência é maior.
O que o investigador pode verificar em um incêndio que foi combatido ainda
nesta fase:
x Marcas de fuligem nas paredes que podem estar tão baixas quanto 30
cm.
x O padrão em “V” e os padrões de queima podem estar ocultos em
decorrência da carbonização.
x Quanto mais longa for a queima, menos evidências estarão
disponíveis.
