DEFINING THE PROJECT SCOPE

Project objectives
 To supply and install a total of 352 solar photovoltaic systems during the financial year
2019-2020 and 2020-2021 at 51 Primary Health Facilities located at Beau Bassin, Central
Flacq, Curepipe, Flic en Flac, Floreal, Grand Baie, Long Mountain, Mahebourg, Moka,
Pamplemousses, Pointe aux Cannoniers, Port Louis, Poudre D’Or, Quatre Bornes, Reduit,
Rose Belle, Rose Hill and Souillac in Mauritius. The project is set to be completed within
33 days at a cost not to exceed Rs 50 000 000.

 To provide three years of complete operation and maintenance services as well as a

warranty period of 25 years for the solar photovoltaic panels.

Project deliverables

The expected outputs over the life of this project involves:

 Completion of the feasibility study of all sites.
 Obtaining all required permits, licences or approvals required for the works.
 Completion of the solar photovoltaic system design.
 Procurement of skilled labour.
 Purchasing and receiving equipment of required specifications.
 Completion of galvanised steel structure (Solar panels and Battery Racks).
 Installation of solar photovoltaic systems (including monitoring systems) district wise
through skilled man power.
 Testing and commissioning of solar photovoltaic systems for power production.
 Maintenance of the solar photovoltaic system for 3 years after completion of project.

Limits and exclusion

 The client itself is responsible of the cleaning of the solar PV system between
maintenance periods.
 Installation/Maintenance work is limited to Monday through Friday between 8:00 A.M
to 4:00 P.M.
 The contractor is not responsible if the client/person breaks the components of the
system.
 The client itself is responsible in ensuring the accessed of authorised person around the
installation site.
 All siteworks varies in size and shape such that the design and placement of the pv
panels may also vary and shall not be in accordance with the specifications.
