A visa for reunion

A visa (family reunion) is granted under the following conditions:

1. Entering the visa application information via the website.


2. A visa for reunion shall be granted for a period of (30) days. The visa applicant must complete all documents required for granting residence
to the family of the foreign person within the specified period.
3. Paying visa fees via the website.
4. Passport must not be less than six months when applying for a visa.
5. A family reunion visa is granted as a humanitarian condition aimed at reuniting the family of the foreign person. If a family member wishes
to work in the Kurdistan Region, he/she must obtain the approval of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in accordance with the
instructions of the foreign employee and the Directorate of Residence.
6. Filling in the form (17) for family members' information via the website.
7. Fees of the change of visa to a permanent residence are not paid, only the fees of the issuance of the residence card and other fees relating
to the issuance of the residence card shall be met.
8. The reunion visa includes only husband, son, daughter and mother of the foreign person.
9. If the applicant for family reunion mentioned in paragraph (8) above is Iraqi, the residence shall be granted to all members of the family
without imposing any charge and shall be exempted from all the fees related to the issuance of the residence card provided that he /she is a
resident of the Region and holds residence card (information card) issued by the governorate where he/she requests family reunion.
10. All forms must be filled via computer.
11. Attaching the following documents when filling the visa application:
A. Marriage certificate or other document confirms to the family relationship specified in paragraph (8) of Article 4 the fourth paragraph of
this statement translated into Kurdish language by a legal translator in the courts of the Region.
B. A copy of passport of the husband and family members for each application individually.
C. A document of ownership of a residential unit or a lease contract for a residential unit in the name of the family reunion requester in the
governorate where reunion of the family is requested.
D. The residence card must be issued by the Directorate of Residence in the governorate in which he/she owns the housing unit.
E. Salary confirmation issued by the employer.
F. A confirmation of social security for a reunion applicant issued by the Social Security Directorate.
G. A Copy of the registration of the Iraqi spouse requesting reunion for his foreign wife in order to ascertain his marital status, if he is
married, the visa will not be granted to his foreign wife.
12. The guarantor shall pay the amount specified in the commitment to the Region treasury in the event that the foreign person does not come
back; this fee is for not fulfilling his undertaking in addition to all other legal measures taken against the guarantor and the applicant.
13. If a member of the family of a reunion applicant has entered the Kurdistan Region via the visa of the Republic of Iraq and requested for
family reunion, he/she will be granted residence after the implementation of all the conditions of reunion and instructions related to granting
residence card.
14. The granting of residence under the visa for reunion shall be the authorities of the directors of residence in the governorates after all the
conditions have been fulfilled and all the documents specified in this paragraph shall be submitted.
